Linoleum Sledding...?

Feb 23, 2009 12:14

I had a Blast this weekend up at the boonies! We still had plenty of snow to throw and slide on... but no sleds. After a look in the garage we came up with leftover linoleum from our kitchen fixing days. Well, we tried it as sled material and it worked like a dream!

So, we tromped about most of saturday to different slopes around my house to slide down. I had trouble sliding forwards though... I kept doing spins and sliding backwards. Apparently my bones are heavier on the left side!
After we went in and had a yummy sandwich and some relaxing we ran over to Walmart for some sleds-- Nai Desu! No sleds for us.

So, back to the house we went and spent some time online looking up GI Joe previews and figures. It looks awesome! After eating and getting rid of some of the guests we got to relax and watch Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. Very, very good movie!

Sunday we spent the day watching movies non-stop. We saw Mall Cop(not that great and annoying in how unrealistic it was,)Ratatouille(very good if a bit gross with rats cooking)and Eagle Eye(kinda Terminatorish but more subtle and not quite as good.)

Also we found out that we have some field mice hanging out at the house and had to set traps to catch them. We did catch one before the end of the weekend and Mom and I had a hilarious time watching Joe and Eddie try to kill it before it could get away as it slipped from the trap when they took it outside. We had to kill it cause we didn't want it to come back into the house and we didn't want it to tell it's friends what a great pad it had found! Too bad cause it was really cute. Big ears and eyes and a streamline body with pretty brown and white stripes.
