IMPORTANT - UPDATE ABOUT THE COMMUNITY’S FUTURE
As many people may be aware, LiveJournal is a Russian owned site and has been for 15 years. With the current global situation there are many reports that Russia will be cut off from the rest of the internet within a few days. As LiveJournal is hosted on servers in Russia there is a large possibility that we will lose access to it.
Before this however, I had already decided to migrate Koyama-Daily and KoyaShigeDake to another site - Dreamwidth.
I have been running backups for the community there for some time but as the structure of LiveJournal has changed and imports no longer work, I am manually backing up many posts from recent months.
For those who don’t know Dreamwidth it is a very similar site as it was started by ex-livejournal staff and based on the same model and has been active for since 2008.
The new community site on Dreamwith is still KoyaShigeDake at https://koyashigedake.dreamwidth.org/
This will be the home for both Koyama-Daily and KoyaShigeDake content going forward. Just like LiveJournal you will need to join the site and the community as posts are protected for community members only.
The current LiveJournal communities will be here as long as LiveJournal is up. This message is just to let you know that there is an alternate site if something happens suddenly.
And as always, the KoyaShigeDaily twitter account is still at https://twitter.com/KoyaShigeDaily and any updates will continue to be posted there.
Note: Livejournal also had an export tool if you want to save data from your own lj but it only saves text, not images or comments. And it may or may not work.
