Koyama appeared on this late night variety show this week to promote both Room 0 and Fighting Man.
If anyone knows a source for the video of the show, please share it with the community. In the meantime we have some screencaps and a summary from the very wonderful
daelite
Hosts: Amano Hiroyuki and Marie
They introduced Koyama and then Amano mentioned that he met NEWS for the first time the other day when they recorded Hey!Hey!Hey!. It was apparently the first time Amano had ever been backstage where NEWS was. Koyama was then like...
Koyama: Really? NEWS have talked about you before though.
Amano: WHAT? I'm sacred, omg, what were you talking about? Don't lead an old guy on like this!
Koyama: Once we had a discussion on whether or not your glasses are fake or not. Some people thought they were fake but some thought they were real with lenses. We were talking about that for like 10 minutes!
Amano: Wow, I'm so happy NEWS were talking about me!
Koyama: So what's the answer?
Amano: *sticks his fingers through his glasses* Ahhh!
So they're fake XD
Amano then asked Koyama if Yamapi had participated in the conversation about his glasses and Koyama said he had. Amano seemed really happy about that.
The show then showed footage of Tsuruno Takeshi's concert for awhile. After watching it Amano commented that Tsuruno was one of the only people he knew who had ever told him "marriage is great!" (Tsuruno is well known for having a big family). Everyone in the studio cracked up at this comment, including Koyama XD
After that was over they started talking about the Room 0 play! They played a bit of the press conference and also had the director talk about how he thinks the play will be different from the drama because you can see the characters clashing with each other right before your eyes.
In the background they played some video of rehearsal! *spoiler* At one point Shigeto was talking to King and said "72 points!? You've improved so much!".... woah!!
They talk about the drama for a bit: how the play is a continuation, how in the drama each story had a different director, how Koyama was really surprised his story was getting a continuation, Koyama explains to all the hosts how the whole point thing works (they thought it's scary that you don't know who is watching you and judging how many points you're worth XD)
They then showed a character chart for the play... Shigeto (Koyama) respects King, loves Haru's character and does whatever Horibe's character tells him to.
Koyama explains that the drama was just Shigeto and King but the play gets Haru and Horibe's characters invovled. Yokoyama is like the "storyteller" and will appear in video during interludes.
They then talked about how tough this play is because the cast is so small... Koyama's on stage almost the whole time and has a ton of lines. They showed some more rehearsal footage and Koyama commented that Horibe is the "mood maker" backstage. Amano apparently knows Horibe well from something else and then started asking Koyama if he had been sexually harassed by Horibe yet XD;; According to Amano the guy is horrible but Koyama said he hadn't noticed anything (but will tell Horibe that Amano told him about this LOL!). Amano told him to watch out if they go drinking XD;;
Next was comment VTRs for Koyama :D
The director was first, he said that Koyama is an ever-changing actor which makes him really interesting. Whenever the director asks Koyama to change something about his acting he'll have it totally changed in the next take. He also said he hopes to discover a new Koyama by working with him for the play.
After the director was a comment from Haru. She commented about how "Koyama-san" is always busy so she's only been able to see him at rehersal but hopes they can all improve their teamwork.
Horibe then had a VTR message for... Amano XD!!
Then he had a message for Koyama though. He said Koyama was a really nice young man and that he really makes the set fun and cheerful. "I think he deserves a pretty high amount of points..... like 25."
You could hear Koyama like "EHHHH?!" after that comment XD
Horibe then mentioned he was waiting for Koyama to take everyone out to eat and drink etc (even though Horibe is older than Koyama, he wants him to pay since he's the leader of the play haha).
Koyama was embarrassed after hearing the comments from the director, the director is one year younger than him and their relationship feels more like friends than director & actor.
Also Amano thought Haru was really cute (she was XD) and was like "SHE HAD NO MAKEUP ON IN THAT VIDEO??" and Koyama says she didn't, she never wears makeup to rehearsal. He then agrees with Amano that she's really cute and Amano decides they need to show her to Gal Sone to prove you can be cute without make up XD;
The show then goes into their little tweet corner (people tweet with "premiere" and then they read questions and comments on air).
First tweet: Is it true you sing in your car?
Koyama says he likes to sing stuff like Ozaki Yutaka's "Boku ga bokue de aru tame ni" (
YouTube)
Amano then shook Koyama's hand!! XD! Because he does that too so they understand each other's feelings XD; Amano said once he sung it with his windows open and the truck driver next to him was like "Well aren't you feeling good!" LOL
Koyama says singing the song gives you courage.
Next tweet: Koyama, your home is a ramen shop right?
Koyama of course confirms this. He says his mom has been running it for about 30 years and Amano was surprised how long it's been around. He also commented that it's a really basic/commoner kinda place with lots of drunk old men late at night XD
Next tweet: I can't wait for the new NEWS single! I can't stop repeating your latest album!
They then showed both editions of FIGHTING MAN and mentioned it would be out in November.
Also at the very end Amano says he heard Koyama knew something about Marie that he didn't... Koyama apparently saw Marie out drinking once and then did an impersonation of how she was sitting. She was all laid back on a couch, striking a pose with a drink in her hand XD
They then showed a bunch of footage for Roudoku Legend II (??). And they were making fun of one of their female MCs who messed up a lot. There was video from some other concerts coming up/that happened recently too.
At the very end they had another short message from Koyama and he invites everyone to go to Room 0, saying he hopes it makes everyone smile since it has both suspense and comedy :D
