So, today was a pretty productive day. Actually writing in this thing is an indication of that. Over the past few weeks, I have felt really tired and I didn't really think too much of it. Then on Friday night, I went to bed at 11:30/12:00, knowing that I had to get up at 6:45 am, and knew I would be tired. But all day on Saturday, it wasn't that bad. So, I started an experiment with myself to determine how much sleep my body actually wants. I started with 9 hours today, because I had been getting 10+ hours each night, and I feel better, but I know I could be better. So, tomorrow I will go down to 8.5 and then so on. Okay, so what does this mean? Pretty much, when I find my optimum amount of sleep I need, I will go to bed later depending on the time I need to get up. I feel like this way I may actually be able to motivate myself to get some work done, which I've been avoiding a lot lately.
Today was good for productivity in terms of school work as well. I woke up, went to class, came back and had lunch and then I was left with 2 hours to do work before I had to go volunteer at the MMR (Marine Mammal Rescue for anyone who doesn't know) In that time I was able to finish making notes on the notes for on of my classes, which I have an exam for on Friday. This should make it easier, since it's an open book test, to know what the important points are and if I need to know more than I wrote down, I know exactly where they are located in the notes and I can easily locate the theories. I know, it's genius. To go along with writing those notes, since it wasn't hard work, I listened to some PotterCast, which I have fell behind listening to for the past month. But, the past few days I've been working hard and managed to make it from PC 52 to PC 59. Meaning, I only have this week's episode to listen to. Yay me! I still am behind on a lot of other podcasts, but PC is more important to catch up on.
After volunteering, which got me home around 6, I was able to make 16 paper airplanes. Why? 'Cause my stupid Stats prof gave us an assignment in which we have to make 16. It's a complete waste of paper that I could have easily used for something else. But, no, he just wanted to kill the environment. Think about it, if everyone in the class makes 16 airplanes, where there are 400 people, that's a lot of wasted paper. Stupid ass prof. Anyways, so I worked on my Stats assignment and got some of it done, but not all of it. I only have the paper airplane question left, but I don't really understand what to do next. I'll just ask my friend for a hint though.
This brought me to around 8:15, when I watched the rest of Gilmore Girls and then watched Veronica Mars. Such an awesome show! Then, after that I read some stuff for my other Bio class, which I don't have the exam for on Friday, and I just feel so proud of how productive I was. I pretty much used most of my free time for school work. Oh, and yes, TV is not considered free time because I have shows that I have to watch and thus they are scheduled time for not doing school work.
Anyways, what I'm getting at is if I was this productive every Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, there should be no reason that I can't have more time for fun on Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday. I think I may have to do more work more often.
Edit: (Because I'm a loser) Not including this edit, there are 651 words in this post. Wowee!
