Before I forget what I did, and so I don't have to tell the story multiple times, here is a play by play of my trip to Seattle.
Friday: Left home at around 4 pm, was across the border by about 5:30 and then it took about 3 hours in total to get to Seattle. So, we got there around 7. Checked in at the hostel and then we decided to walk around a bit. We went to Red Robin for dinner down at the pier and then walked around Pike's Place Market, which is boring when nothing is open. Then we saw a chocolate factory and went to get dessert. Went back and were asleep by 10:30.
Saturday: Woke up kind of early because I was uber excited that it was the day that I got to meet Kelli. We left the hostel at 9 and then we hung around at Pike's Place Market until 9:30. We then went to get some coffee, or in my case a double chocolate chip frappachino(that doesn't taste like coffee), at Starbucks where we were meeting Kelli. She showed up around 9:45 and Katie n' Kelli's Adventure in Seattle began. We had to wait outside the First Starbucks a bit because her dad was parking the car and we had to wait for him to plan a time to go to Chipotle. When he showed up, Kelli and I took a photo as our Melissa part of the day. Then we decided to walk around Pike's Place Market for about an hour before going to Chipotle. We found the coolest store ever, which we have dubbed the geek store. It had so many amazing things. They had a wizard's license but it had a typo on it. It said that 4 Privet Drive was in London, England. It's in Surrey! Idiots! Then we went to Chipotle and on the way Kelli ate some of my "Katie Cox From Canada Cookies." At Chipotle, we got a chicken burrito and wrote a postcard for Lily of utter randomness. Kelli actually finished her burrito, where I just didn't. Then we went to 5th avenue to do some shopping, which turned out to not be as fun because there were mainly expensive stores. Although, I did get a couple of shirts at Old Navy. We went to Barnes and Nobles and we found a Harry Potter wall and it was so cool. Then, I was buying something and the clerk was asking if I wanted to become a member and I said no cause I live in Canada where there are no B&N. She was convinced that there was until her co-worker told her I was right. Then we went to a couple other stores until we had to walk to the 5th ave theatre where her parents were picking her up. (Side Note: Kelli sent me a text the morning of saying that her father was convinced that I was a shadowspaun and could be using a voice synthesizer. But, I proved him wrong.)
After Kelli and I parted, we walked back to hostel and hung around for a bit until I had to move my car because there was free parking from Sat. 6pm and all day Sunday. Then, we had dinner and bought some fudge(mmm) Then, we went back to the hostel and played pool, foosball and Scrabble. Then, sleep.
Sunday: Went to Experience Music Project and the best part was the sound labs and the fact that we got to pretend to be a band preforming on stage...so much fun! Then, we went to the Science Fiction Museum, which wasn't as fun as we thought it would be. After that, we bummed around on the grass for a bit. Then, we walked to the hostel to pick up our bags and change. We then walked towards the theatre, hung out in Starbucks a bit beforehand. And, then Wicked! It was so good. Although, I have differing views from my friends who can accept change. I'm very attached to the original broadway recording and am convinced some words and stuff were different and they think I'm crazy. We left Seattle around 10 pm and got to the border at 11:30. However, there was an hour long wait to cross it. Who knew at 11:30 at night there would be so many ppl going home. When we got across, I wanted to take the first exit off of the 99, but my friends said no, keep going. I then got lost in Surrey for a good 20-30 minutes until I decided to get to 176 via Fraser Hwy. Got home around 1:45 and crashed.
