1. I met you on Sia's board and responded well to your caustic wit and seeming ability to stay above the fawning and frippery without resorting to superiority. I then found out you were from Portland and resolved to look you up on my next visit. Of course then you moved and the board sort of collapsed in upon itself. I followed you to LJ from there and now have you friended in probably every place one can be friends without actually having met in real life. 2.
3. You don't seem to dwell overly much on the bad shit that happened to you in a galaxy far, far away. This medium is tailor made for dwelling on that kind of thing because of the false sense of intimacy it engenders. You don't appear to do that. Your ironic sense of humor makes every entry something I have to read with a salt lick ready at hand. I like that about you. 4. I remember you inviting me down to Portland to hang out and go visit Powell's books. For some reason, I didn't take you up on it immediately. I don't know why. 5. This one's a stumper because I feel like I can ask you anything anytime. Umm ... how many people did you "hook up with" off Sia's board? It seemed like everyone but me and Luke were doing that. 6. I didn't actually "hook up with" anyone. I did meet Sia, Jonni, Budgie and Sio during a visit. What began as attraction turned into really great friends with Dave, but otherwise I wasn't into anyone in that way from the board. So you guys weren't the only ones.
So far the only people from there I've met in person have been Karl and Jonni. I'd previously met Dan through a mutual friend and John found the board through me. It's odd that I haven't met Vaysha yet seeing as she lives about two hours away, but there you go.
