(actually, I'm not sure I did this the first time but hey...)
“My my Blondie, whatever happened to doing your homework?” River shot him a look that could have killed a lesser mortal. Her patience was wearing thin and she suspected that the situation would only get the longer she spent near Captain John.
“As if you’d know anything about homework.”
“Do you even know why your here? Let me guess you picked up the mission at the last minute? Or stole it?”
“That’s none of your business!” she retorted, but the soft blush across her cheeks was hard to hide.
Hart laughed, not unkindly. “Bad girl, see me after class for a spanking.” He turned back to her, ignoring the charging whine of her pistol as he examined a piece of delicate circuitry. “They’re building a weapon.” He told her then closed his hand, crushing the circuit “I’m here to stop them, I don’t know about you.”
Harry Sullivan pulled at the brim of the outsize felt hat. Trying to shade his eyes from the glare of the tropical sun. ‘I say, it’s not very Scottish is it?’
‘You honestly expected it to be?’ Sarah Jane Smith grinned cheekily.
‘More like Madagascar.’
‘Pangaea’ the Doctor boomed, striding ahead.
‘Bit off course then?’ Harry wondered. Sarah laughed, much to Harry’s annoyance.
‘Actually we’re exactly where I said we would be. Just early.’ The Doctor boggled. Harry was glad of the loan of the hat but still amazed at the Doctor’s three coats and a scarf ensemble in this heat.
‘By early he means pre dinosaur!’ Sarah giggled.
‘My word old thing, you’re a fount of knowledge.’
‘Oh blame him,’ she thumbed at the Drs back ‘I got the history of Planet Earth in a thousand long words on the way to a market in Restonex.’
‘Shouldn’t we get back in the TARDIS and try again?’ Harry worried.
‘Plenty of time to pander to the Brigadier, it’s not every day the old girl gets hauled off course by a complex space time event occurring in the primordial past of your planet Harry’
‘It isn’t?’ just a handful of weeks ago that would have been a serious question, loaded with curiosity. Today his tone, and his knowing nod to Sarah, suggested more sarcasm than interest.
Max stared defiantly back down Albert’s gun barrel. ‘I’ll tell you whatever you want to know. I just don’t expect you to understand It.’ he eyes moved to Eleanor and his expression lightened ‘you, on the other hand, seem a little more open minded than the artful dodger here.’
Eleanor waited for Max to sit up after Albert clubbed him with the gun.
‘Universes?’ Clement tried again.
‘Existences, plains of reality, whatever way you need to explain it to yourselves.’
Eleanor looked at the old woman in Max’s arms ‘the afterlife?’
Max frowned at her, surprised. ‘I wouldn’t go that far, but if you like.’
‘That woman was possessed; I have seen such things before.’ Eleanor replied defiantly.
‘This old lady...’ Max started before he realised whom she meant. ‘Ah, Lily? Well Lily’s complicated...’

maxswhofic “you know what I’m looking for.” He told her as he reached out, gripping her collar in borh hands. She could feel the cold of his knuckles against his throat but she couldn’t be certain what he would do next. His hands tore way from her, taking the fabric of her suit with them, exposing her chest to the cool night air and raising goosebumps of surprise.she snarled at him but he ignored it. that was when she saw the knife.
It glimmered in his hand as he raised it to press coldly to her bosom. She thought she knew him, could she really be this wrong?
“What are you up to?” she sat back and continued with the present.
“Well your birthday happens to coincide with something Torchwood has an interest in. And it’s out on the coast, thought we could keep Tessa entertained and get out of the city. Ianto could use the break too.”
“What’s happened?”
“What do you mean?” his smile wasn’t convincing.
“Jack...” she warned him “tell me what’s going on or I shan't show you how short this nightgown is”
“You drive a hard bargain” he laughed. “Mark’s back.”
“But that’s great news” Gwen smiled just a little too broadly.
“Ianto’s feeling a little dispossessed, Tosh is wrapped up in the sky and Owen, well there’s nothing wrong with Owen but he’d complain if he didn’t get a mention.”
“He doesn’t like the great outdoors remember”
