Alive and doing shit -- PLUS BEGGING FOR RECS! <3
The past month I have been doing the following:
- watching SGA! It's complete awesomesauce! I'm meta-ing the entire thing and just started season 4. I ship McShep whole-heartedly and a bit of Ronon/Teyla (although I'm certainly not married to it), and my favorite character is John. I need serious fic reccage here, and STAT! <3
- watching Criminal Minds! It's very good. I ship Morgan/Reid, and HOMG Reid is my favorite character by far!! HE IS SO FUCKING HOT!! *fans self* I need some fics for them, srsly. Who rec'd this show to me? It's up to you to link me to fics, h'okay? And I also really like Gideon/Hotch, but that's definitely the side pairing to the awesomesauce that is Morgan/Reid. I only finished season 1, sadly, and I've got no idea how to dl the rest of it. ;_;
[BTW, the fic recs I'm looking for (for both SGA and CM) are not of the PWP variety. Long, epic fics with involved semi-angsty relationships are GREAT! Also, fics involving dating and dialogue and fluff are all good too. Just FYI, in case any kind soul decides to throw me a bone. ♥]
- attempting to keep up with Supernatural. Sort of working. *crosses fingers*
- watching Due South. It's good, and really funny! I'm only at the beginning of season 1, though. I ship the two main guys, and my favorite's the Mountie. I forget their names... drat.
- watching Skins (up to 2x06, kind of shipping Tony/Maxxie); Being Human (up to 1x03, shipping Mitchell/George); Farscape (up to around 1x08, shipping John/Aeryn); Carnivale (up to 1x12, shipping Sophie/that girl whose name I always forget); Star Trek TOS (up to 2x09, shipping Kirk/Spock); Psych (up to 2x05, shipping Shawn/Gus and/or Shawn/Lassiter); Six Feet Under (need to start s2, shipping Nate/David).
- watched 1x01 of Glee and 4x01 of Dexter. I need more of both these shows, although Dexter has really been getting un-fun lately. BAH.
- attempted The Tudors and Strangers with Candy. BOTH SUCK ASS. And not in a good gay way, either. The Tudors had so much heterosexuality in it that I couldn't even watch the entire first episode--I stopped it at just after 28 minutes. As for SWC, um, it's just not funny. Sorry, whoever rec'd this to me. Although Stephen Colbert playing gay amuses me to no end, the rest of this show is truly atrocious. DX
- finished Band of Brothers! Have I said this already? I forget. But WOW IT'S AMAZING!! And I so ship Nixon/Winters, it's really ridiculous.
- watched some gay interest movies: Maurice, Shelter, and Were the World Mine. Maurice is (obviously) based off the famous book, but Shelter and Were the World Mine are both newer and original stories, and both ROCK!!
- reading Home, that incredibly popular STXI fic (as well as a shitload of Merlin, Torchwood, and non-spoiler SGA fic). I'm only up to chapter 28 of Home. I like it, but not ridiculously so. I think she's got a great grasp on all the characters, but I hate the OCs. BAH. *kicks the stupid aliens*
- re: video games!! <3 DS -- Playing Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All, Scribblenauts, and Children of Mana. Re-playing Chrono Trigger for the zillionth time. They don't make games like that anymore. *nostalgic sigh* PS3 -- Playing Bioshock, Resident Evil 5, and Little Big Planet. I've more or less finished Batman: Arkham Aslyum--I've completed the game and solved all of the riddles, although I haven't gotten all the trophies yet... mainly b/c I suck at fighting. *headdesk* Wii -- ... HOMG I forget!! No wait, I'm in the middle of a Zelda. Twilight Princess, I think. Oh, and I'm eventually going to finish Final Fantasy XII. At some point. In the future.
- re: comics!! <3 Attempting to catch up on/finish The Authority, Young Avengers, Runaways, New Mutants, Sandman, Y: the Last Man, and a lot of Batman rec lists. As for Batman, Cacophony was meh--Joker was always fun, and canon gay Joker is even better, but overall I wasn't thrilled with the lineart in that one. Oh, they call it pencils in non-anime, don't they? YES THEY DO. Finally finished Hush. LOVED the artwork, but I felt the ending was rushed, and BAH YUCK to Batman/Catwoman. *two thumbs way down* Red Rain was really bad, except it's the only comic I've ever thought Catwoman was sexy in. IMAGINE THAT.
- re: anime and manga!! <3 I AM SO FAR BEHIND ON THESE IT'S TERRIBLE. I am about a year behind on everything, at least. It makes me sad. I need to catch up on Naruto, Tsubasa (WHICH FINISHED HOMG NO SPOILERS), xxxHolic, FMA, D.Gray-Man, and a whole lot of other stuff. But mainly those. I need to finish Fantastic Children, Gundam SEED, Hikaru no Go (DO YOU SEE HOW FAR BEHIND I AM?! DO YOU SEE?!), Hunter x Hunter, SCRYED, Soul Eater, and Witch Hunter Robin, among others. THIS IS PATHETIC. *uber headdesk*
- WORKING!! Holy crap, they keep scheduling me for more hours than I asked for. I don't want to bitch, really, but I might have to since I srsly don't have enough time to write anymore. Which is why...
- I'm only half-way done with what I want to post for Apogee. I'm trying to finish it, really, I am! But hey, think of it this way. Would you rather it be good and take longer or be bad and rushed? Think about it. XP
- But! I'm also working on my original novel. rainbowstrlght helped me with it a lot, and I've got some great ideas now, so I've been going back and forth between my original, Apogee, and SGA stuff. *headdesk* I think people should just pay me for being awesome, and I can concentrate and writing and not work. Y/Y?
BTW, I'm going to update my fandom list soon with all the new shit I've been watching, but I'm just curious... I think I ship unpopular pairings for Psych and Six Feet Under. I'm only half-way through season 2 of Psych, but right now it looks more like Shawn/Gus to me than Shawn/Lassiter. And I finished s1 of Six Feet Under a while ago, but the only ship I really see there is Nate/David. I tried not to see it, I really did, but it's so OBVIOUS! *headdesk*
