I've decided that either my teachers are very forgiving as far as papers go, or I am better at writing these massive academic pieces than I have previously thought. In intro. to english studies, I turned-in a paper on "A Doll's House" that was one and one-half pages shorter than the requirement, not to mention hurriedly thrown-together. When I got it back, I was shocked to see an A on the paper.
Just today, my 18-century english teacher posted grades. I was praying that I'd pass, thinking the final paper (about 2 pages shorter than the minimum) would kill my grade (it counted for 35% of our overall). I have a B in the class, and though I'm not sure exactly what the grade on that paper was, it was higher than my expectations.
I kind of feel bad, because I've been so lazy in these classes that I feel like I should only barely pass, but instead I'm doing pretty well. I'm trying to chide myself and not let this serve as reinforcement for my slacking.
