On the topic of LiveJournal
On the account of:
1) Most LJ postings appear to not warrant comments from the readers
2) The majority of people 'keeping track' of others using this site has migrated to facebook or linkedin or plain ol' email
3) Keeping up with posts on all the various sites is difficult
4) LiveJournal seems to be one of the more ... redundant sites out there at the moment
I've modified my twitter account such that it has been sending 'tweets' to the LJ here (comments will still be emailed and/or respond), and my blog such that it sends updates as a notice on twitter (and eventually will cross-post at fb). This is all part of an automation effort on my part, to use plugins and such to keep posting to the various popular sites that people use, without actually having to log in to each and every one periodically.
I'll be checking this account occasionally, but it's my hope that over time that will become unnecessary.
