I really like how you have the story put together, with Dan saying he remembers what Ror was wearing and then it launches into the flashback. The mental image was fun, I might just have to draw for this (with your permission of course)

Ive already started sketching a cover, but be forwarned, my style is kinda... Un-Watchmen-y and cartoonish. Still working hard to improve it.
