Hm, let's see..
On Thursday I was slow getting ready cause I hadn't gotten much done the night before due to feeling crappy. I finished Sayuri's kyuuketsu cosplay and then had to shower and finish packing, etc, and by the time I was done and got to the hotel it was like.. 7pm? I had meant to be there at 3 e_e;; lol Pretty much everyone was already there but taiyou_no_yami(Shintomo) and Beth (dunno lj name D:), so we hung out for a bit before heading down, I think.
As everyone has already said, the pre-reg line was total hell. I'm surprised I survived -- especially since I was wearing my heels x_x (I eventually just took them off and carried them cause that hurt less, haha) I think we were in line for over 3 hours before we finally got up there to get our badges, and somehow I luckily got mine that night. @_@
I think sometime during Thursday night, metalgearmatt16 and his friends stopped by to talk (mad_stalin84 and elffys I think?)
Thursday was pretty uneventful as usual XD
Friday, there wasn't much eventful earlier in the day. I went into the dealer's room and got a little gundam figure to add to Teru's basket, bought the Cure with Kamijo~sama~ on the front, and that's about it XD I didn't buy anything else in the dealer's room oddly. There was a little confusion that happened that day with the line, and mum not being able to find the roses we wanted to give Versailles and all >_<;; (though I don't think we would've been able to hand those to them at the live anyway, after all).
Pretty much, the day was mainly spent waiting for the concert~ There was some line drama, but I really wasn't paying attention rofl We got in first anyway, and security was all "DONT RUN D<" but everyone did anyway, haha. I got between Teru's spot and Jasmine You's spot. I wanted to be more near Teru, but it was hard to guess where that was since Budo Grape's stuff was set up. Budo Grape were OK and the singer was pretty cute, but they played way too many songs and they all sounded way too similar. I kept waiting to hear "LASUTO~" but no, she kept saying next song ;o; Finally it ended way later than it should've though.
I managed to get enough room to sit down while they were setting up Versailles' stuff. People kept screaming all randomly, too XD My feet were killing me SO bad already. >_<;; After about 30minutes or more (coulda been more, I swear it felt like an hour), they were finally all set up and the concert was about to start.
They opened with a dramatic sounding S.E as they came on stage, and everyone was going wild and screaming. Yuki was first, and then everyone else followed; Kamijo last I think? They weren't even doing anything but standing there and their stage presence was still AMAZING. My heart was racing before they ever started playing.
I don't remember the exact set list in order, but I'm fairly sure they played everything they had in their discography.
I know they started with The Love from a Dead Orchestra, followed by Shouts & Bites. And the encore was The Revenant Choir, I believe, which everyone who knew the words was singing to XD I wish one of them would post a set list, but basically, they just played everything.
The Red Carpet Day was insanely fun live. Lots of headbanging and diving and shouting. I love that song to death. x3
Also, they played Sympathia and many people were crying. I know I cried and sang along. Teru was mouthing the words and at one point looked like he was either crying or trying really hard not to cry. That song was really beautiful and moving live.
I really can't find words to describe how they were live.. just.. Epic. That was the best concert I've been to ever, even better than Phantasmagoria were. I had a ton of fun rocking out~
After the concert was over, I could barely even stand, and the security guy there would'nt even let me sit in one of the chairs for a moment to let my feet rest some, tch D: It was ok though. Nikki got someone to get You's water bottle off the stage, but they grapped Teru's first, so thanks to her, I ended up getting his water bottle x333 Thank you shigurekumi(Nikkichu)!! <3 I had really really wanted to get his pick and was really bummed that I didn't, but apparently he never even threw any, so I feel a little better about it now. -shakes him-
There was a sign session after the concert of course, but being that I could barely stand or walk, I opted not to bother and headed up to the room with help from mr_xio(Xio) and Beth. Thank you guys for helping me >_< I could not have made it on my own! lol I passed out sometime that night, too tired to even change into sleep clothes (eck)
Saturday was, of course, the signing and q&a. I was nervous, but I wasn't shaking for once (I usually shake like a leaf at sign sessions). I dressed up in my sex pot shirt (the one teru modeled) and did a ghetto attempt at doing my hair like Teru's, but it wouldn't stay up ._.; I don't think he even noticed my shirt anyway, so oh well XD I took Sayuri with me in his kyuuketsu cosplay, carrying him in Teru's present basket. We waited in line for quite a while and eventually the guys came out and sat down and the signing began.
I watched as satoshikko(Sephiechuu) gave Yuki his basket. His reaction was so cute and hilarious. Roger grabbed the bottle of jagermiester and was like "This is the good shit!!" and Yuki was like "Yeah~ -thumbs up and big grin-" XDD It was priceless. I didn't see any of the others' reactions to their baskets, though.
Yuki's handshake was gentle and warm, same for Hizaki's (and he shook one of Sayuri's hands, too haha!) Kamijo's handshake was surprisingly strong! And he was very good with eye contact and smiling and all that. Jasmine You's was of course, a really dainty, queen-like handshake. XD I was amused by it.
I got up to Teru and waited for him to sign my photo, and then I handed him the basket. He looked surprised and smiled and thanked me enthusiastically. He looked at my fanart that was in there for a sec before putting it away. His handshake was really warm and he used both hands to shake mine XD I was dying inside, seriously. I was kinda bummed that he hadn't noticed my doll's cosplay... but I didn't want to be all "O HAY LOOK", so I didn't say anything. Luckily he finally noticed it right as I was about to move to You, and was surprised and awed. He said things like "Ouuu uwah!" and "sugeee-!!" and then said "that's great!" in english xD;;;;; It was so cute. I kinda wonder if that (+ my fanart) is what got him thinking about his Aikaryu costumes, haha. I hope he'll wear that Arch Enemy shirt I got him, though I dunno if I'll ever know if he does ;-;;;
Anyway, after that was the q&a. There was more line confusion, of course, but it was solved fairly quickly at least. They let us in an extra 30 minutes early (and I really wanted to save a seat for Nikki, but they were really strict about the no-saving thing >_<;) For once at a q&a, I was right up front and their table was really close to us (I could reach out and touch it haha). It was in a really small room, so it filled up pretty fast, and I think some people didn't even get seats or something? D:
I don't want to be too tl;dr about the q&a so, basically, it was really awesome. Kamijo tried to be serious!Kamijo, but he couldn't keep it up cause he kept laughing and being silly. It was kinda creepy how one time he cracked up really hard and then when back to looking all serious the next second o_O lol
I got to ask two questions:
1) "Has there ever been a moment at a live that left a deep impression on you?"
They answered things like "last's night's live" and such, and Kamijo said when we were all doing the slow arm wave thing during Sympathia, I believe. I can't remember the other answers x0x
2) "If you could cover any one song, what song would you cover?"
I don't remember all the answers sadly, but I know Hizaki said "Pantera - Walk" and Teru said "Pantera - Mouth for War" (after much confusion from his pronounciation at first haha). I was like FUCK YEAH \m/ at their answers xD;
There were some other good questions and great answers. We learned that Yuki is a ~hick~ lol When asked "what one word would you use to describe yourself" Kamijo snatched the mic and burst out with BONJOUUR HONEEY!! xD It was so priceless! And of course, there was the part where they were asked to tell us the best aspect of the member to their right, and Kamijo had Teru stand up, and when he did, he poked Teru's belly and Teru flailed and giggled XD; At one point, I remember You and Yuki blowing kissing to one another, too haha
Oh, and when asked whose costume they would switch with, Teru said Hizaki's, cause he's sure it would look really good on him, but then Kamijo grabbed the mic and said Hizaki's dress would look even better on HIM. rofllll I can't imagine that, but it was so hilarious.
Uhm, what else.. they were asked what gear they use and they said ESP, and Yuki said Tama, of course. (both Hizaki and Teru use marshalls head/amp w/e, btw, but they didn't mention it ; I couldn't see what Jasmine You was using. :<)
I can't really recall anything else specifically, unfortunately. I hope there will be a transcript of it sometime soon. Amazingly there were no really retarded questions and no "omg can i get a hug lawl?!?!" thankfully. I was really relieved that this crowd seemed to have some sense, lol (cept for the one woman who asked the stupid overlytechnical question)
Before they left, I remember Kamijo jumping on the table and bowing, I think? XD And then they filed out, waving to everyone, and we all left eventually.
Other than that, we pretty much just hung out, watched tv, drank some booze, ate some pizza and.. that's it. We looked for parties, but the parties there were rather lame IMO. They didn't have what I wanted anyway, so I just left after a while and went to hang out in the jpoproom for a good while. They showed some Hizaki Grace Project and Unsraw so I was happy, despite having to sit through alice nine, lmc, and SuG (and honestly SuG was the worse. a9 was actually bareable! He got a lot better at singing or something D:)
Eventually I went up to bed but.. I honestly don't remember that part XD;;;
I woke up Sunday with a blasted migraine, so I was in a bad mood for the first half hour I was awake >_<;; I got some meds though, and was fine by the time I got down to the signing line.
We stood in line for a while and when it was near time for them to come out, we started chanting Versailes~ over and over! It was fun XD I'm sure they were pretty surprised by our enthusiasticness lol Jasmine You, Hizaki, and Yuki all came out at once.. but apparently Teru and Kamijo were having wardrobe malfunctions and it took them about 5-10 minutes to make it there. They started the line before they got there though (which I thought was a little silly, but I guess they were trying to not waste any time so I sorta understand too (^^; ) I was worried Teru wouldn't be up there when I got there, but they came out right before my group got up there!
I had them sign the Red Carpet Day photoset I got from Nikki (and oddly none of them said anything about them. I expected them to at least ask if I went to the live, haha) I thanked them all for coming to America. I meant to say more, but I forgot it. I asked Teru for a hug, but unfortunately he said no x_x So I felt really bad for even asking D: I wanted to tell him how happy I was to be able to see him live and meet him, but I couldn't get the words out >_<;;;; I hate when that happens! I wrote it in my letter though, so hopefully he read it.
Oh, I also wrote my aikaryu site and our versailles site in the letter, so I hope he will visit them XD (and my email, but I doubt he'll email me rofl)
Sunday was pretty uneventful otherwise. Everything was closed, there's nothing around the hotel to do, so we just hung out, wandered around, and chilled in the room for a bit and such. It was really cool talking with everyone in Matt's room, and I'm glad I got to meet them all XD We had some fun conversations, haha.
I really wanted to stay until really late that night, but since I had to be picked up, the latest I could leave was 3:00am. >_<; Naturally, the band left at around 4:30, so I was unable to see them off -sad- I hugged everyone goodbye before I left, and I really can't wait until there's another time we can all hang out again ;3; <3
Annnnnnnnnd that's pretty much it, I think. I may have forgotten some things, as I've a really bad memory. >_< But I think I covered most of it.
Woo! Certainly the best con I've been to so far, and the best band events ever. I'm still really happy and buzzing from the whole thing. x3
It still feels like it was all a really great dream, honestly XDDDD
