a/n: I wrote this for the kpop_het competition which I came 3rd with ~whoo. But truthfully, I'm not happy with this at all and struggled with writing this a lot. Anyways, if you see any mistake (eg. lee as kim) - do tell me and I hope you enjoy ♥

When Lee Jonghyun first laid his eyes on Sunny, he was leaning against the Choi’s family car and waiting for a relative of the soon-to-be-bride to arrive. Her brows were knit together and she was staring sternly at the map (backwards) through her glow in the dark ray band. She occasionally take suspicious glances at the people walking passed as if someone was going to snatched her up and put her in a tinted window van.

To sum it up - she looked lost, slightly snobbish and absolutely, extremely, unlikeable.

"Excuse me...hi - there"

Jonghyun looked up from the newly bought copy of ‘The Great Gatsby’ and stared at the short brunette in a slight daze, he greeted back, "Um...yeah, hi."
The girl attempted to put on a smile as she pulled her suitcases closer to her body. By the time, he managed to stumble his way through his introduction. She looked uninterested and even more, anxious than before.

Jonghyun was socially awkward It couldn’t be helped.

"Sunny," She said discreetly. "Know anyone name Choi Sooyoung - the bride? Tall - about your height, much more hair and less hair products though." Sunny made a face which he assumed was a mix between 'ew' and ‘yuck’.

She started to send him questioning looks when he didn’t’ respond. "Uh…yeah, yeah, I know her. In fact, I am one of her many servants actually." he chuckled, in hope of lightening the mood.

Sunny didn't look the least bit enlightened by his joke.

"Her family bosses all of us around and lock you up in their dungeon when you disobey them." Jonghyun laughed stiffly.

Sunny took off the sunglasses and tugged it away safely in her purse. "Oh, really? Things must have changed since my last visit then." She smiled primly, clearly amused by his fail attempt at jokes.

Taking a deep breath, Jonghyun managed to choke out, "La - Last visit?" He scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Yeah, I'm her cousin actually."

Oh.

"Now - since you are the servant, here’s my bags." The girl snapped, throwing her suitcases at him and slid into the car without another word.

Sunny was a mix between an updated version of a high school princess and mother Godzilla.

It was something called dislike at first sight.

-

The first time Sunny showed up, she didn’t bother to use the door. She knocked on his window exactly three times approximately ten minutes after supper was served, interrupting his studying. Jonghyun figured that she had resolved to other ways when there was a small but visible crack appeared on his window.

She rolled her eyes at him in annoyance when he opened the window. “How much brain cells does it take to open a window?”

Jonghyun watched in disbelieve as the brunette climbed through the window without any kind of struggle, her heels in hand and dinner plate in the other.

“Uh…you mind - explaining?” He asked in confusion. “Not to be rude or anything but we don’t exactly get along, that ride from the beach being an example.” He crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently.

Ignoring that, she said, “Of course - you are very much a pain to the mind…and the eyes but seeing as I am forced to share room with my cousin. This….” She paused and let out a loud sigh.

“Place will have to do.” Sunny shrugged as she started devouring the filet.

“Will have to do for what exactly?” He asked in slight frustration, jerking the plate out of her hands.

Sunny frowned. “Do as my hang out space.”

He laughed, shaking his head. “No, no, no. You can’t do that - this is my roo -“

“Let me remind you that this is my uncle’s house and you are living in it.” She huffed arrogantly.

“S - so now, you want to be friends?”

She scrunched up her nose and stole the plate back when he wasn’t paying attention. “Ew, no. Not friends - allies.”

“Okay but, what do I get from letting you ‘hang’ around here anyway?”

“Better taste in clothing for one -”She drifted off as she darted her eyes across the room. “Breakfast - I, Lee Sunny will bring you, Lee Jonghyun breakfast starting from tomorrow and for the rest of
my stay.”

Jonghyun pestered around the room, never removing his eyes from the petite girl seated on his bed. She was looking at him like she was ready to eat him up alive. He took a moment to remind himself that he was in no way scared of the small creature.

“Do we have a deal, Lee?”

He was going to regret this was for sure. “Yes”

-

The second time, it was five in the morning and he was watching the silence of the lamb when the window burst opened. Jonghyun flung the bowl of buttered popcorn up in the air and felt relieve washed over when Sunny’s deadly glare came in view.

“For Christ sake, Kim. Do you want the whole mansion to wake up or something?” She hissed, carefully shutting the window on her way in.

Jonghyun fell back against the head board. “I thought we agreed that yo -”

Sunny grabbed a handful of the remaining popcorns from the bowl and stuffed it all in his mouth before he could say else more. “And I also thought we agreed that you will only speak when necessary.” she reminded him of the rules and plopped on the bed next to him. “Now, what are we watching?”

Jonghyun swallowed down the popcorns. “Silence Of the Lamb and would you mind giving me back the bowl. It’s mine, by the way.”

“Fine,” she glowered. “These are disgusting anyway.”

Sunny took off her jumper and slid under the cover next to him. “I much prefer the book over the movie.” she stated as she fluffed up the pillow.

“A common case for all films adapted from novels. A great watch if you haven’t read the book. A disappointment if you have.”

There was no reply.

Jonghyun turned away from the computer screen; she was sound asleep and snoring lightly.

When he woke, she was gone and his bed was cold.

He smelled fresh bread and found two chocolate croissants in a recycled paper bag.

-

The fifth time happened after the dress rehearsal, he just finished showering when the door to his room flew opened and came a very angry Sunny with Sooyoung trailing behind her, looking just as mad. He watched through the crack of the bath room door, his grip onto the knob tightening.

“What is your problem? I got you the dres -”

Sunny threw the bouquet of flower down on the ground. “It’s not about that. Who cares about the ugly dress that I have to wear at your stupid wedding?” She yelled furiously.

Jonghyun decided at that very moment that he wasn’t going to make a sound.

“Then what is it? What did I do wrong?”

“Drop the saint Mary act, you know exactly what th -”

“Soo!”

Mr. Choi’s voice boomed from the hall, cutting Sunny’s fury spat short. The two girls held their gaze as Sooyoung shouted back ‘coming’ back.

Sunny let out an apathetic scoff when Sooyoung headed for the door. “Have fun playing the perfect bride.” She hollered after the girl, venoms lacing in her voice.

“Have fun playing the jealous little cousin.” Sooyoung sneered before slamming close the door.

“You can come out, Lee.”

She called out moments later after the ear-splitting stomping stopped.

He took a few steps away from the door. “Wh - how can you possibly know when I’m just standing there?” His brow furrowed, confused to how she found out.

“I can see your bony arm sticking out of there. Are you trying to break the door knob or something? Axes and hammers are much more affective, in my opinion.” She replied with the usual you’re-so- dumb look as she walked over to the book shelf.

Jonghyun rolled his eyes. “What’s with the two of you anyway?”

“Not that I care” He added quickly, not wanting her to make any assumption.

Sunny averted her eyes from the books and to him. “I will keep the details to myself but it started with something along the line of ‘why do you keep going over to Jonghyun’s room?’ and ‘are you avoiding me?’”

“Great point, why do you keep coming ov -“

She pressed her finger against his lips.

“You’re bringing breakfast tomorrow, that’s your punishment for breaking the rule.” Sunny declared then lightly tapped him on the nose. “Number three - no questions about any personal matters.”

And then she’s out the door, leaving him feeling perplexed.

-

The tenth time, it was only a week away from the wedding and the broom had only just arrived. He honked the horn five times in a minute. Ms. Cho - the laundry lady came out rushing, yelling at the door man to open the gate. Jonghyun almost choked on his kool aid when he heard the lady calling the fellow young master.

“He’s here” Sunny abruptly stood up, knocking the arm chair back violently.

Jonghyun watched as she abandoned her copy of Cosmopolitian on the floor and raced out the door. He hears her rushing steps down the stairway, along with his own as he followed her down to the foyer.

He couldn’t help but wonder why her cousin’s fiancé arrival triggered such a reaction.

It was a well-known fact that she does not run. According to her, it was un-lady like and a waste of energy. Something was off.

Sunny stopped on the second step of the front porch. Sooyoung threw her arms around Lee Sungmin when he stepped foot out of the Bentley, showering him with hugs and kisses. He swung her around and it reminded him of a scene from one of the chick flick movies that she made him watch.

"Sunny!"

Jonghyun turned to Sunny in surprise when Sungmin waved at her with so much enthusiasm that made Sooyoung green with jealousy.

"I think he's tal -"

"I know" she snapped at him angrily before making her way up the steps and back into the house.

The ‘young master’ spared him a sympathetic smile and Jonghyun knew, there was more than meets in the eyes.

-

The thirteenth time, it was one of the hottest mornings of the summer so far. It was around ten in the morning, she was still in her pyjama and the usual brown paper bag was in her mouth as she climbed in the window They sat back to back with a book each. It was two days before two weeks of her stay and there wasn’t a single empty space in his room. The floor was mostly occupied by books or empty movie cases. Jonghyun found it ironic, most of his summer meant beach and beach meant physical activities or in Sooyoung’s case a tan but now that Sunny was in the picture. All he does is read old books that he can find or watch some romantic comedy that raised brows.

"Why do you insist on calling me Lee - Lee?"

She looked up from Treasure of Island, giving him an eerie look. "What do you call my cousin?"

"Uh….Sooyoung" he said, stating the obvious.

Sunny carefully folded the corner of the page that she was on and placed it downward on the floor. "Are you...friends with her?"

"Yes - yeah, well - I think so." He shook his head lightly, snapping out of his thoughts. "Why? What does that have to do with anything?"

"We would call our friends or in this case, family by their first name or nick name but we are not friends but simply - allies." She said simply, pausing to feed herself a spoonful of lime snow cone. "So with that being said. We are in no way close enough to address each other by each other’s first name. We then have no other choice but to use last name and there is no way I am calling you Mr. Kim."

The idea of them being friends was disturbing to the mind. Jonghyun and Sunny going to the movies, Jonghyun and Sunny skipping around the mall - it was all kind of wrong.

"What? We're not friends, right?" she asked when he gave no response.

He laughed, shaking his head violently. "Oh no, no. If we're friends then it would mean that we have to like each other and we clearly don't so no, we are not in any way friends."

She nodded in agreement. "Good"

"Great”

He decided that he was in no way feeling sentimental over her.

-

The sun was blinding that Friday, Jonghyun squinted his eyes and wished he had borrowed a pair of sunglasses from Sunny before leaving the mansion. The car trip was full of awkward conversations and uncomfortable questions being thrown at him by Sooyoung about Sunny’s doing. The two girls no longer shared a room, Sooyoung moved to Sungmin’s room once he moved in and Sunny spent most of her time in his rooms or out at the mall having a shopping spree.

As far as he could remember, this was the first day in the entire summer that he hadn’t seen Sunny.

It felt odd and dare he say, empty but at the same time, there was a feeling of relieve that he didn’t have to see her crestfallen face when Sungmin would invited her along with the trip.

“You two seem pretty close.” Lee Sungmin flashed him a smile as he sat down on the sand next to him.

Jonghyun finished yet another bottle of water after a dehydrating match of volley ball. “With who again?” He asked in a raspy whisper, still trying to catch his breath.
“Sunny, of course.” He replied confidently.

That had to be the funniest joke, he had heard in a long while.

Jonghyun stared blankly before breaking into a hysterical laughing fit. “Me and her? Sunny and I?” He said between laughter, pointing at him and in the air.

“You must think she’s some kind of a heartless monster.” Sungmin said nonchalantly, staring up at the blue sky with a bitter smile.

The laughter faded  immediately and he was left frowning. “W - what do you mean?” Jonghyun asked in exasperation.

Sungmin stood up and wiped his sand dirtied hand on his swim trunk. “She’s just hurt, she needs someone who cares enough to be there for her.” He began, a smile creeping on his face. “She likes to sleep late and wake early. Try not to look at her when she walks into the room, she will think that you don’t like the way that she dressed even if she looks stunning. If you ever want to know what’s on her mind, give her a lolly or two and she will start talking. She says that her favourite book is ‘To Kill The Mocking Bird’ but anyone who know her well enough, will know that she wouldn’t go anywhere near it. When she’s down, just hug her and don’t say anything. When she’s happy that’s still not enough, make her the happiest girl even if it takes your last breath.”

And as Lee Sungmin tended to his fiancé’s side after three shouts of his name.

He had ascertained that the fact was: Jonghyun will never measure up to what Sungmin is in Lee Sunny’s heart.

-

The twentieth time didn’t happen, at least not in his room and there was no climbing in windows either. It was the first time he had seen her ever since the last argument five days ago. He didn’t know if it was her that avoided him or the other way around. He often sneak glances at the window when he’s sitting in his room, he secretly hoped to see her brown curls or one of her overpriced heels.

If he didn’t know better, he would have thought he was missing her.

It was only a week away from the big wedding. The mansion was split in half, a bachelor party on the left wing and a bachelorette part on the right wing. He walked out of the party for some fresh air and that was when he caught a sight of her. She sat crossed leg on the wooden bench in the rose garden, shoeless and lipstick smeared all over her cheeks.

She was a complete mess but still as beautiful as ever.

“What are you doing?”, he yelled.

Sunny didn’t make the slightest movement; he considered the possibility that she was dead on the inside. Jonghyun mumbled endless complaints to himself as he approached her, the wind blowing in his face and hitting him in the face like a sucker punch.

“He doesn’t love her.” was the first thing she uttered to him when he took one look at her.

He did but she was so stubborn, she never listened.

His felt a jab in his chest and all he can managed is a strangled, “Let’s go in -“

“He doesn’t love her.” She repeated again, this time more to herself than to him.

“Su -”

“Tell me, he doesn’t love her.”

“I -”

“Tell me that it’s all a lie, he can’t just marry her. He can’t just leave me behind.”

When she’s down, just hug her and don’t say anything.

But he wasn’t the man she loved.

“Okay, okay - he doesn’t love her, he doesn’t love her.”

He saw the desperation in her eyes. There she was trying not to crumble down and break into little pieces of distress.

Jonghyun thumb brushed against the palm of her hand. She flinched at his touch and pulled away with a single tear sliding down her rosy cheek.

In normal circumstances, this would be all kind of heart breaking. Except he didn’t love her - at least, that’s what he liked to tell himself.

-

The next morning when he went to her room, there were several boxes of Kleenex lying around her bed and she was curled on the bed, the duvet covering her from head to toe. Jonghyun poked her and she shifted a little. At least now, he knows that she was still alive under there. He circled around the bed and pulled the curtains opened, she groaned like he had expected.

“Leave me alone.” She grumbled loudly.

"What's the problem here? You're a bit snappy this morning."

"Aren't I always?" she drawled, refusing to come out from the thick blanket.

Jonghyun rolled his eyes at her childish action and dropped the soggy bag of Chinese on the only sanitary spot on her bed. "The usual" he said quickly when her breakfast disappeared under the cover.

"Which is?" She asked tauntingly and he thinks, she's enjoying herself just a bit too much. "Two crystal prawn dumplings, one steam rolls, one pork bun and the sauce are in there. Do I look like a takeout boy to you?" She poked her head out of the duvet.

Jonghyun sat down on the bean bag that was a bit too small for him. "Yes, you bring me take out. Take out boy is written all over you, Kim."

"Is it just me or I'm bringing you breakfast when you're supposed to be the one?"

"I'm heart broken, Lee. That's the difference, now why don't you start being nice and go pick a movie."

So he obeyed and plopped Singing in the rain in the media player because he caught her eyes twinkled when his hand landed on the colourful case of Gene Kelly’s hit.

-

It was a turn of the events. Jonghyun started showing up at her room almost every second nights (using the door) and they argue over every little things, anyone could possibly argue over. He was enticed and scared at the same time - they were starting to sound like an old married couple. No one would want that. They're Sunny and Jonghyun. Jonghyun and Sunny. Allies and not friends, allies and never lovers.

"Do you love him - I mean Sungmin that much?"

Her brows were furrowed in displease when he asked. Jonghyun was much taller but somehow, it felt like she was staring him down.

"Shouldn't have asked. You may now continue to admire my collection of bo -"

Sunny crouched down and swiftly pulled out one of the fictions. She threw it at him without even looking, it still managed to hit him on the chest and he stared at her in disbelieved, his arms raised up in a questioning gesture. "Wha - what the hell was that for?"

Jonghyun decided to skip out on the 'ow' part.

"For bringing it up and yes, I do and I did and if I god decides to punish me, I will."

She said plainly as she pulled out the latest teen vogue from her purse. "Was it really necessary to throw...." He sneaked a glance at the half opened book laid across the floor. "Shakespeare at me?"

He sighed and she rolled her eyes. "I guess not but its fun throwing stuff at you." Teen vogue was now flailed opened on his bed while she kicked off her shoes. Why not just go under the cover with her muddy shoes on? She acted like this was her own bed most of the time anyway. "Why me and - really, Sunny? Romeo and Juliette? A bit dramatic even for you, don’t you think?"

“Shut up before I throw Twilight at you.”

“Oh god, please not Twilight. You know how I get rashes just by looking at it.”

She laughed then she smiled.

That’s all he really wanted for her - happiness.

-

"Wai - Sunny, Su -Sunny!"

It was one night away from the big ceremony. Jonghyun couldn’t keep his mouth shut after two shots of vodka at the bachelor party. Sungmin couldn’t either, she found out. She ran and he followed blindly. By the time he caught up to her, she was no longer in any state for reasoning.

"What?" she screamed and ripped out of his grasp, hair flying all directions. She shoved him a little, he stumbled, when he got his balanced back he reached for her a little harder. "You're sorry? You didn't mean to? It just slipped? What, Jonghyun? What?" Fury burned in her eyes, he sees it - he can even hear it in her voice.

Jonghyun never thought he would be the one to hurt her. He always figured, it would be Sungmin who crumbles her down and destroyed her completely but not him, never him.

He was loss of words because he was afraid that he has sunk as low as her past lover. She crossed her arms across her chest and stared at him in anticipation for some explanation. "I - I just want you to be happy, Sunny. That's all there is to it. You love him, he lo -"

"Shut up, shut up, shut up. I don't love anyone, not you, not Sungmin, not Sooyoung, not anyone."

But she did, even though she wished she didn't.

"That's the problem. You do love them all, even if it's just a little. I know you, you love him but you're giving him up so easily. Fight for him, Sunny. Don’t give up just yet." He stated calmly, taking small steps towards the petite girl that looked vulnerable as ever.

Jonghyun wanted to hold her in his arms and tell her it will be alright but it wasn't his place. It was occupied by someone else, a long time ago.

“Sun-”

She jerked away in disgust his hands cams in contact with her forearm. "Don't touch me."

His heart sunk.

They stood in complete silence; Sunny stared at him for a long time. Her eyes burned into the top of his head in a different way that the lights were burning his eyes. After a while she raised her gaze. “We're not friends. If you haven't done that, we would still have been fine." It was almost a whisper but it was sharp and clear. She got her point across.

"Goodbye, Jonghyun."

His stomach clenched and he chuckled to himself.

He lost something, he didn't even own in the first place.

-

“I now pronounce you, husband and wife.”

He tried again when the love of her life lifted the veil. This time, with a tighter grip and not just a contact of the skin but hand placed firmly on hers. Sunny let him this time and squeezed his hand so hard it messed up his blood circulation when her cousin was kissed on the lips.

Confetti was thrown in the air, little girls started giggling and guests stood, roaring in cheers.

Amongst all the happiness and smiles, there they sat perfectly still in their front row seats, holding hand and half of them grieving.

This wasn’t a wedding.

It was more like a funeral because she cried and it was anything but joy.

-

Sunny offered him a champagne flute as she murmured, “It was your fault but I don’t see why we should be strangers.”

“Thanks,” He smiled in relieved. “And yeah, I - it’s my fault. It’s not my place to meddle with your people lives anyway. I had no right to do that to you, to Sooyoung to Su -”

“You’re forgiven, Lee. There’s no need to bore me with your speech. I get it, I was acting like a five year old with a dead golden fish so you did something about it.” She said, unable to contain a
smile.

“Don’t ruin the moment with that heinous smile of yours.” Sunny rolled her eyes and drank down the very last drop of the champagne.

They watched the newly married couple swayed to the music. Sungmin whispering sweet nothing words into his wife ear once in a while she giggled and swat him on the chest.

“I would have regretted it if I fought for him and we end up together.” She smiled bitterly. “They love each other. A lot. It’s time for me to admit that and move on.”

Sunny had come to her senses.

Maybe it was time, he did the same.

-

Jonghyun glared at her from across the table. "You’re obviously cheating.”

"I am not," she whined, throwing her arms up in the air in frustration. "You can't even prove it!"

"You're only allowed seven letters, Sunny. There are ten letters in ‘apprentice’.”

"Don't be such a stickler for technicalities," Sunny said in a bushing manner as she flipped her hair.

"It's Scrabble, it’s a just word game.” Jonghyun explained, appalled with her lousy attitude as a loser.

“Whatever.” She said. A sneaky smile crossed her face as she rearranged the tiles on the game board.

He must admit that he was mildly impressed with how she turned ‘yatch’ , ‘harmonica’, ‘utility’ and ‘oblivion’ into a simple ‘I hate you’ in the corner, with the ‘h’ landing on triple letter and ‘o’ on triple word.

Sunny could get quite creative if she wanted to.

“I hate you is a sentence not a word, Sunny.”

She crossed her arms and if looks could kill, he would be dead by now.

“Who cares? I was already cheating anyway, a bit more wouldn’t make any difference.”

“If you want to play this way then….”

Sunny gasped loudly when Jonghyun turned the board over, all the tiles piling up on the floor.

She groaned and grabbed the closest pillow before hitting him repeatedly on the head with it. “And you called me a cheater. You are just afraid that you will lose to me. Ha!”

Jonghyun rolled his eyes and pulled the cushion out of her grasp. Sunny bit her lips and yanked out another under the cover of his bed. He ducked, the pillow missing his head by thismuch.
“Here, I’m done.” He said triumphantly and shoved the board to her direction before she could throw another decorative cushion at him.

She stared at the board and back at him, her nails digging into the cushion when she smacked him hard in the face.

“Why do you have to make it hard for me, Jonghyun?”

The forbidden four letters word laid across the board.

A word that meant more than the world to him and less than nothing to her.

-

Jonghyun leant against wall of her room and watched as she started taking her clothes out of the closet. She was catching a one way flight back to New York tomorrow morning and there was nothing that he could do or say that could stop her from leaving him behind. His stomach churned; there must be a way to kill all those goddamn butterflies.

“The wedding is done and over with, it’s time for me to go back to where I came from.” She answered as if reading his mind.

She carefully placed the sun hat that Sooyoung had gifted her in one of the suit cases that she made him carry the first day she arrived.

He disguised the sullen look in his eyes with a half-hearted smile when he said, “Time does really fly.”

She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before she spoke, “Yeah - it does, doesn’t it?”

“I only came here to give you this.” Jonghyun said, cutting to the chase as he placed the dusty DVD case on the desk that had been given a makeover and now her make up table.

Sunny looked at him curiously and stopped folding the blouse in her hands. She begrudgingly threw it on the bed and stalked over to the table.

“Why?” She asked softly as she picked up the case, inspecting every inch of it.

Jonghyun fell silent before he glumly admitted, “When we made the ‘deal’. I saw you eying it when you made up the breakfast part of the deal, the only part actually because there is seriously, nothing wrong with my fashion sense. The point is - I figured this is where you got the idea from so yeah, I want you to have it.” He blabbered on, taking a step closer toward her without realizing.

“Well, it’s a very thoughtful goodbye present. Thank you and have you ever look at what kind of shoes, you are wearing?” She chuckled while pointing accusingly at his nearly three years old runner.

“Guilty” He said, raising his arms in surrender.

Another wave of awkward silence fell upon them. Jonghyun glanced at his wrist watch and was more than eager for this night to end.

“Right…uh…I should probably let you pack.” He shook his head and backed away until his back reached the door frame. “I’ll see you in the morning.”

“Good night, Lee.”

“Good night, Sunny.”

He berated himself from feeling disappointed.

-

“Well - I better go now, don’t want to miss my flight.”

“Oh - yeah, the flight. Yeah, you should get going, it’s almost time.”

When Sunny stopped in front of the terminal’s door, Jonghyun felt a light jolt in his heart as she calmly strutted back towards him.

She pursed her lips and extended out her hand. “It’s been nice being in the breakfast club.”

“Right,” he agreed with a chuckle, grasping her hand with his own. “Well - it’s been nice being in the breakfast club with you too.” Jonghyun said carefully and the two exchanged a small nod as
they shook over it.

She pulled back with a tiny sigh, a hint of a smile curves her lips. Sunny was looking at him the same way he looked at her at the wedding, vulnerable even when her held was head high and proud.

He paused again and closed his mouth, reconsidering what he was about to tell her and said, “Let’s not be in the breakfast club again next summer.”

“I’ll see you, Lee.”

There was not blackout and the credit didn’t roll.

Everyone knows The Breakfast Club’s ending is a happy one.
