Well, I say goodbye to Fort Lewis tomorrow, and I'll be on the road to California by then. A week from now, I shall be in Virginia, hopefully comfortably situated with internet access at hand. If not, well, I'll be busily trying not to go insane (again). I'll miss this place a little, but I'll be hard pressed to miss Washington as a whole. It could go down in my list of "absolute worst places to drive", but I'll wait 'til I've seen a bit more before I go and do that.
I wanted to say thank you to the company that's been my home for a year and a half, so I bought four cases of beer as a way of saying thanks and left a little note. I got alterations done to my class A uniform and I got some money back from the dealership that didn't catch maintenance faults on my car. I've cleared post in a short time, had blood drawn for an HIV test, and pretty much have been harried nonstop for the past month. Just one more thing left to do, and that's take my butt to the road for a good and healthy twelve hour drive.
