This was excellently well written. I was enthralled the whole time. I love that you broke away from some of the cliches, Browning isn't evil, and Robert is some wilting flower. Really enjoyed this the plot was intense and interesting and the romance was sweet and believable. Plus, there is never enough Cobb/Fischer in the world.

Great job!

Starting off the new year right, I see!

I loved this, I don't think I've even read Fischer/Cobb before but this was ~amaze. <3 <3

Lol, yes! I had to put little digs in there to communicate Fischer's frustration. (And so sue me, but I really like punishing Cobb as well. :P)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Fischer is so lovely that I was afraid to ruin him, but he definitely needs more fic. <3

Most of the time, I'm absurdly pleased with your ruthless, fucked-up, jaded version of Cobb, but I really like this other side of him that you show here. He's concerned without being a total woobie (difficult line to toe, lol!) and, man, residual guilt gets me every time. No lie.

This was really engaging and lovely, with great pacing and just the right amount of everything to feel balanced. I like how your Robert just takes it all in his stride. IT'S NO BIG DEAL, GUYS. ONLY A LITTLE MIND HEIST. WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE.

Oh, Robert. <3

Lol, yes, it was very ~disorienting initially to try to write a Cobb that wasn't a bloodthirsty psychopath, but I just couldn't sic the beast on Fischer, the poor thing. ;)

And oh man, by the time I got to the part with Robert accepting the explanation, my brain was fried TBH. I could not even picture the scene in my head anymore, so I kind of just cheated there. ;____; In retrospect, I should have done more on his train of thought, but I wanted to keep it somewhat suspenseful. My only excuse for an explanation is: he's been kidnapped twice and has probably had some crazy unbelievable experiences in his life. The man's seen it all. XP

Great job!

I'm really impressed by the train scene. That's a quite intriguing start. The story is well-paced and fun to read.("motherfucker!" lol) I don't know why it always gives me a ridiculous pleasure to watch a guilt-driven Cobb saving Robert.

Though i doubt whether Robert could actually shrug off the fact Cobb had incepted him to dismantle his father's empire, the explanation that he's seen a lot is somewhat believable.

One thing seems weird to me is it didn't even take Robert a second to accept the truth that only-exist-in-dream Charles suddenly pop into the real life. Shouldn't he take more time to adapt to it?

All in all, excellent story! Hope to see more Cobb/Fischer! <333

You're right; it is pretty weird. I tried to emphasize that Fischer was in a strange state of mind ever since losing Mr. Charles and being kidnapped, so that he had trouble distinguishing reality and dreams. Then he was so overwhelmingly happy upon seeing Cobb that he wanted to believe that dreams could come true. But I don't think this or the acceptance of the explanation, like you said, were fleshed out well enough. Perhaps I will edit sometime in the future. :)

And thank you so much for your lovely comment. <333
