"They’re always so blasé about pain in the movies, but me? I know I’m no hero."

NASH. He is amazing here. I love the thought process. It's so sad. Throughout the whole thing I so desperately wanted Nash to ESCAPE and get away from his psychotic boyfriend. This is the most intense Cobb I've ever seen. Like this:

"Nash’s weeping was icing on the cake, music to his ears, and his biggest turn-on. He’d already felt himself stirring at the sight of Nash’s torso dressed only in scarlet, but with each uncontrollable spasm, he felt the tightness in his groin knot up further. 'You’re beautiful like this, you know.'" GOD CAN'T NASH HAVE SOME HAPPINESS? JUST A LITTLE? It would be great if Cobb could be turned on without having to cut him up, but alas, the world is cruel for Nash.

Your Nash was realistic, and I loved the dynamics in the relationship between him and Cobb. Cobb was like a psychotic version of his salvation, but it wasn't really a pure salvation at all. Cobb is the one that keeps him corrupt, won't let him be wiped clean. Cobb is so fantastically deluded here. Even thought Nash realizes that Cobb is just a crazy, lying bastard, he seems to be buying into them, like with this last line:

"Nash found himself swept outside like a discarded piece of litter, empty and used."

God, that line, it really got me, it was so powerful. Nash definitely reacts to Cobb's behavior, he isn't totally immune like he would want to be, I think. If Nash would just learn to accept that Cobb really ISN'T going to stop drinking, and there's no way for Cobb to be changed, then Nash would benefit and just leave him. This story is so beautifully sad.

ONTO THE BLUE LOOK, CANNOT WAIT.
