Baby or no Baby...THAT is the question!
Hey there everyone!
I'm ...well, 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant and still no baby! She (at least they tell us it's a she) is due the 27th...Monday. I've had at least two days with contractions for three hours straight, and then she stops. This is going to be one ornery kid! Anyways, what's going on with us...
Ed was laid off from Teletech last month because Teletech lost the contract with Verizon. His last day was supposed to be Feb. 28th. That's also the day he goes back from being on disability because of the surgeries on his eyes. Well, the surgeries are over, and his vision is MUCH better! (Thank God!) We were a little worried about him losing his job, but it meant we'd get COBRA insurance and he'd have time at home with me and the baby. Things changed. Teletech got a new contract with United Healthcare (the most annoying insurance company I've EVER had to deal with!) and now he HAS to take that insurance. He still has a job, but it means he goes back Feb. 28th, works one day for Verizon after being away for months, and then starts training for United Healthcare customer service. Right now he sort of needs to go back to pay for bills/insurance/etc. Unfortunately, Teletech is an hours drive away...which means either myself or his parents will be spending four hours in a car to get him there and back. We're definitely still looking for someplace closer...and hopefully higher pay. There are a couple of opportunities we're working on right now. One is the local ice cream manufacturer...it's an account clerk position, which is great because Ed's looking into taking accounting. The other position is with a subsidiary of United Healthcare. One of our friends works there and can help us get a good recommendation. Plus, if he's hired, she gets a $3000 bonus! So please, keep us in your prayers/thoughts/good luck wishes. ^^
As for me, I'm fat and preggers still. I'm incredibly impatient to just have this baby already! I had my first major mood swing the other day. I'm normally really mellow when it comes to hormones, but this was ridiculous! I seriously went from happy and motivated to severely depressed and back in about 5 hours. I really need to have this baby soon! We're hoping for this weekend so that the baby would fall under the better health insurance plan. They'll pretty much pay 100%. (cable and phone bills don't count)
Other than that, we're all pretty much healthy. Moved into the new room and we're just finishing arranging all the little crap. We're really hoping we get quite a bit back from our taxes this year! Hopefully soon I'll have some good news to post here! Take care!
