In class and making a post...
So I'm in Middle East and I don't feel like taking notes so I'm going to make a much needed post. And it's all going to be organized. That's for my benefit because I don't want to forget anything and for you because it will help my rambling make sense.
LSat and Law School
So I took the LSat at the end of February and it didn't go as well as I wanted it to. I just wasn't feeling it when I took it and my score reflected that. My score didn't suck but it wasn't what I was hoping for. Well, it's over and since my professors finally got all my letters of recommendation sent in (it only took them 3 months...well one of them anyway) and I applied. Which was terrifying in and of itself. I'm planning on doing a voice post (I can do that now...YAY) later today to expound on the actual application process.
School
I am so sick of school. I have six books reviews, two 10 page papers, and a 30 page paper due before the end of April. How much does that suck? And isn't even all the work I have. I still have finals (only three but still), at least 3 other essay exams for Senior Seminar, a journal of sorts for Ozarks History, a road trip for Ozarks History, a huge music project for Ozarks History which includes lots of research, and if that isn't enough I have to play tennis for the rest of the semester. I know I'm whining but I'm so sick of school and I know that I only have about 60 days of school left but I am not in the least bit motivated to do any of my work. And I'm really sick of school in case you missed that.
Spring Break
So my Spring Break was last week...way too early and short if you ask me. It was a mostly uneventful break and I'm oddly grateful for that. I just wanted to have a week to rest and that's what I did. The sucky part of the week was that I was sick for the first part of it. Like sick sick. I finally caught that virus/flu thing that is going around. I had a sore throat, I was nauseous, I had the worst headache, my head felt like it was stuffed with cotton, and I just ached all over. This lasted for the better part of 3 days and it sucked. I finally got over it and then my dad got it. So last week was the week of sickness. I'm mostly over it now though...thank God. It sucked being sick over Spring Break but I was so glad I was home and didn't have to try and be an adult. I was able to act like a kid and stay in bed and read/sleep/watch TV all day. It was nice except for the being sick part. The great news is that I did get to hang out with Leah and my sister over the break. Me and Leah did the shopping/movie thing. I bought some shirt, lots of books, and the complete series of Firefly on DVD (squee!!!). We saw Because I Said So and it was great. I loved it. You must at least rent this movie. I stayed with Sarah in her dorm room on Thursday night and there was a fire alarm at 1:30...how much does that suck? The only thing I could thing was 'Typical'. I also go lots of good food, my dad took me out to eat a few times, me and Leah went out to eat a few times, and my mom fixed lots of yummy food for me. All in all my Spring Break was good...even if it was too short.
Toys
So probably the best thing about Spring Break is that my dad felt bad that we couldn't leave the state...he usually takes me to somewhere out of state and with me sick and him sick it just didn't happen. So he ordered my graduation presents early and I should get them next week. Toy #1 and Toy #2. I'm so freaking excited. YAY for dads who feel guilty.
Other Stuff
So my sister got a job at the movie theatre and she loves it so that's good. My mom found new recipes so I ate a lot of good food over break. The doctors think my aunt has Thyroid cancer...which is very treatable but it's still scary. I was conscious for daylight savings time and it screwed me up. Um...and that's all I've got.
Future Posts
To help myself keep up with my journal I'm determined to do a review once a week of a TV, a book, or a movie. This week's review is probably going to posted tomorrow and it's going to be a two-for-one deal. I'm going to write about Because I Said So and Stick It. I'll probably do it tonight or tomorrow after Tennis.
