OH MY GOD WE HAS A HOUSE.

Seriously, Karasu and I are renting an actual honest-to-God house. For only two hundred dollars more a month, we have about twice as much space. Banzai! Here are some pictures! Click on the image for a larger version if you so desire.

So, here is the house:

As you can see, it is a fairly nice house. There is my car in the garage! It's actually a very nice neighborhood for the price we paid for it.

Inside, the first floor is all tile and with a very high ceiling in the living room. It has pretty good lighting, especially in the morning (the majority of the house faces east). There's a pretty big echo, so we'll have to buy some area rugs eventually, heh. Here's the living room/dining area:

And here is the front hall, so you can see how awesomely high our ceilings are. The high ceilings are great because they make the house feel really big. =D

Here are the stairs up to the second floor:

More on that later. =D

The kitchen was really hard to photograph, because I couldn't get a very good angle, so here are some shots taken as best I could. There's a gas stove (Karasu fell in love with the house as soon as she saw that), self-cleaning oven, dishwasher, a very big fridge, and a nice pantry. (You can see it on the right in the second picture.) Plus there's a bar which is much more open than the one in our current apartment, so we'll actually be able to put stuff on it. There's a breakfast nook which we'll probably stick a cabinet in so we'll have some more storage space in. (I didn't manage to get that in any photos.)

Off the kitchen there is another room that's going to be our computer room. It didn't photograph very well either; it basically looks like a corner, but trust me when I say it's bigger than the living room we have now.

Note that in that picture you can see the sliding glass door that leads out into our backyard...

OMFG WE HAVE A BACKYARD.

It's got grass, but no one will be able to see it, so we can just throw some wildflower seed out there and let it go to pot. =D (I'm firmly against grass out here; people waste so much money watering it.) There's a lemon tree on the left, a bean-pod tree of some kind in the middle, and a ... fire pit? On the right. We assume that some tree was originally there, but there isn't one there now.

Upstairs! It's Karasu's turn to have the master bedroom, since I had it for the last three years. There are three bedrooms. Here's the one that will be mine...

Note the spacious window seat. =D

The extra bedroom will be used for the cats! They'll have their cat tree and Schu's special chair and a bunch of toys and stuff in there. Plus we can store their carriers and stuff. They also have a fairly generous window seat which they will probably like. (Their litter boxes will be in the laundry room, which I didn't photograph, because it's basically a closet. But it has tile, which is very important when it comes to litter boxes.)

Okay, here's the master bedroom. To begin with, double doors, that I am standing in to demonstrate how big they are. Please ignore my appearance otherwise. I was not at my best today. Also, please do not ask why this photo is so freakin' blurry. XD

Here are a couple of Karasu's room. It positively glows in the morning with sunlight - maybe she'll finally start getting up on time. =D

Kinda makes you wonder why I refer to her as Karasu but save the photos under her real first name... force of habit?

The room has a back porch as well, but the digital camera was running out of room, so we took photos of something far more important... the bathroom! Check out the tub. =D

THere are two other bathrooms in the house - one upstairs with a shower, and one downstairs without. The one downstairs is *tiny* - like, seriously, smaller than a stall in a McDonald's. I tried to get a picture of it but couldn't adequately convey its tininess, so you'll all have to take my word on it.

Going back down stairs...

......=D

Two more things of note!

The neighborhood we're in is called "The Springs", and has some streams running through it. They seem to be very well-tended, there's none of the stench that often comes with these things in Arizona. Also, there was an honest-to-God egret perched on top of one of our neighbor's houses! So clearly the pond/stream system is capable of supporting fish. What, you don't believe me? =D

It's not a statue, by the way. It moved. ^_^

Lastly, this is one of our neighbor's houses, which I actually took for uglychristmaslights.com, because nothing says "holiday spirit" like an uninflated inflatable Santa Claus nailed to a palm tree by one hand.

TA FUCKIN' DA, BITCHES!!!!! WE HAS A HOUSE!!!!
