It's the first day of school
For Cassie, anyway. Not me. I've already taught two days this week, and since she wasn't at school yet, she had to come with me. She only sat in on class yesterday, though, since I have an awesome former student/babysitter who goes to a neighboring school.
She kind of insisted on sitting in on class, because she wanted to see me teach. We were doing an exercise that involved reading over papers written by GenEd students of the past, and they start out BAD and get progressively better. It's a good icebreaker for the junior-majors-writing class, and it helps them to start trusting each other to give them feedback over the semester. Cassie told me on the way home that she could tell I was a good teacher, because they were having fun.
