Catching up on TV

Now that the angst post is over with, it's time to catch up on all of last week's fantastic TV!

OMGSUNANDJINFINALLYYAY!
Liked to see everyone gathering in both universes, and really looking forward to seeing what they do with the endgame. It's pretty clear to me at this point that the B universe is what happens when FLocke gets off the island, and Desmond has the agency in that universe to try and fix it. Sitting in the well in the other one won't matter, because he's acting in that one. Everyone probably has to be gathered, though, so once again Jack's fucking everything up.

Like many of my generation, Madonna was my first favorite pop star. Well, Madonna and Michael Jackson, at the same general time. We listened to Thriller and Like a Virgin over and over when I was 9. I used to fantasize that I was adopted and Madonna was my real mom, no lie. My mom had MTV taken off our cable package over the "Like a Prayer" brouhaha (you're so surprised, I know.) You all saw me get excited over the "Vogue" trailer.

I may have gotten even more excited over Kurt and Mercedes getting to solo for the Cheerios. There may have been tears. "Like a Prayer" was just icing.

So, yeah, this ep made me ridiculously happy.

Oh, hey, that must be a two-parter, eh? It went by so fast...

I do enjoy the River Song storyline. It's mindtwisty, and I loved that actress on ER the few times I saw her. I continue to adore the chemistry between Amy and the Doctor. There's no romance there, and they're clear about that. They're like brother and sister-- like Donna and the Doctor, but younger. It can't be an accident that Donna and Amy are both ginger, can it?

I went in really rooting for Seth Aaron, but "1940s German...military?" Oh, Seth Aaron, No!
That said, he wasn't literal enough to give me the creeps, and in fact it was a very polished and cohesive collection.
Emilio's stuff was dated in the bad way, IMO. The colors were hideous.
Mila's stuff had no color at all, and I just can't get behind that for two seasons in a row.

So, Seth Aaron wins, and all is right with the world. Good, then.
