Five Foods I Cannot Resist

1. Chipotle Burrito Bowl
It started with tacos, hard shell. Then I got a full blown burrito. Then I tried the bowl version so I could mix the ingredients together. Now I walk up and calmly order: "Burrito Bowl, extra rice, no bean. Barbacoa meat. Hot Salsa... I said hot, not that corn shit. Yes I want the sour cream and cheese".

Simply heaven.

2. Good, Hot Chili
I always liked chili, but Jim makes a mean chili, and I have taken that recipe in like a surrogate father. I cook it whenever I can and it is good on a slice of New York or Philly Style Pizza. I opt out for no beans because they make me gassy (the garlic used is enough).

3. Croissant
Versatile buggers. They can be over fresh with a side of butter or filled with chocolate. For a nice lunch give me some Cheddar/American/Velveeta cheese and ham, toast it up, and viola ss the french say...

4. Carrot Cake
Callie's family makes this and a chocolate mousse. I love both equally, but the Carrot Cake get my vote here because of the Cream Cheese icing.

5. Mom's Apple Pie
It is hard to describe how perfect my Mom's recipe is. Sugary sweet with cinnamon and a hint of lemon, the filling bubbles out in waves of goodness. The crust is simple to make but wonderful to taste. Topped by a little milk and sugar this thing is what I secretly yearn for during the holidays.

Runners Up: Mom's Turkey Stuffing and Gravy, Korean Bulgogi, Korean "Hot Pot" from this place in Annandale, VA, a Philly Cheesesteak.
