It's only been one day, but I really like Atlanta so far. All of the buildings here are beautiful, even the brand-new ones, and especially the houses. I saw my first ever white picket fence. (How weird!) Also, everyone I've met has been very congenial.
I was on the floor at Philips Arena in Atlanta last night to see John Mayer live in concert. I'm not a huge John Mayer fan, but I have to say, he did put on quite a show. His played his album music, yes, but he did not restrict himself to that genre. Apparently he can also rock, and plays a mean blues guitar. The opening band was a lot of fun, too. Kind of a reggae/rock/pop blend from a group called John Franti & Spearhead. They had a lot of energy, and a lot of "sunshine," so to speak. If you ever get a chance to see them in concert, I'd definitely recommend it.
Today we'll head to the Aquarium and Coca Cola World, followed by a tour of CNN World. (Yes, it's a World. Apparently CNN is as much a tourist attraction as a news agency... which doesn't surprise me, actually).
