well we moved. not exactly into a house - we're in an apartment in ballard, which is a neighborhood close to downtown seattle. the place is kind of small, but it's within walking distance of most things, and it's closer to my job than our place in shoreline. we live directly across the street from a local produce market that offers awesome deals on super tasty fruits and veggies. i went over there and got some nectarines and carrots and a couple of other things. we also live next door to pizza and bbq, as well as a thai place. there's a pho restaurant down the street, too, which serves up a huge pho tai for, like, $6. good times.

i got a lettuce and herb garden for our apartment as well. it has a sunny spot outside on our patio area. i don't even know what all is in there, but i've so far identified spinach, arugula, whatever that red lettuce is that's always in my spring mix, basil, and cilantro. there are also some lillypad-looking things that are dominating the other plants, but i have no idea what they are, and something that looks like mini bib lettuce. that's all i can think of off the top of my head. i like the idea that there are a handful of normal grocery items that i don't have to worry about buying, and i always know are fresh!
