I... am so sorry!! *cries in the fetal position*
I've been tackling a bunch of arts at one Yeah, I'm a masochist., so I've been hella busy. One is ue Sunday, but the others are either me time or commissions.
My friends (for the most part, Evy-chan and Casey has shown a growing interest) really want me to AWA, but money is still a problem. If anything, I'll most likely go on Saturday. I'll miss the Inazuma Eleven cosplayers (they told me they have SAT's that day), but I wanna see the h.naoto fashion show, and the lolita boutique, and blow all my food money on stuff at the artist's alley hrrrnnngghhhh~
where is Young Avengers' Wiccan when you need him?
But I'll definately be at Momocon 2012, hopefully with a table too!
And an artbook, but that depends on how much art I can crank out between now and the end of the year. ._.
Evy-chan and I wil most likely be sharing a table (again-ish; I sat next to her last year, but shared a table with the wonderful Alice Chung) next year, and this time I'll get better paper for my bigger drawings~ I really like matte (the shiny-ish paper with a rough texture), but when I bought it at Office Depot, it was pretty much thicker computer paper. LolWUT? ._. What good are you to me?!
And hopefully I can get to a program to better clean up my scans. I mean, photofiltre isn't bad, but it still looks shoddy when you print things on an 8.5x11 thicker computer matte paper. 4x6 wasn't bad at all, thank goodness.
But crayola is just crappy period and you need plenty of practice on it. Depending on the paper, Crayola is greatly affected as far as texture is concerned. So far, I really like using crayola on Stratmore's sketch paper (the texture of the paper is a bit bumpy though, so that takes practice) and bee's manga paper
Here's an example of what I'm talking about. The first three lolitas on the top and the last lolita in Melty Chocolate (for the Atlanta Lolitas, that's Andrea Baker) are done on sticker paper. However, the punk and classic lolitas next to her are done on another set of bee's sketchbook manga pper, and the zombie, kodona and classic lolitas on the left are done on regular computer paper. Can you tell the difference?
Anyways, quality is definately a thing to look out for, from the paper I use for drawing to... the paper I use for printing! :D Oh joy~
