-Letters-

Tegoshi always got so many fan letters. So much fanmail. When NEWS walked into the empty dressing room after practice, they sat their sweaty bodies into their respective chairs, and, always, you would hear tearing paper from where Tegoshi sat.  Massu would look over and, just like always, Tegoshi would be sitting there, smiling at some shade of pink stationary. Massu wondered how he could be jealous of some girl that Tegoshi had never, and probably will never meet. Although he knew. He knew that he was always jealous because it seemed as if those girls could always make Tegoshi happier than he could.

That’s why it needed to come to an end. All the fanmail, it had to stop.  Otherwise…

“Massu, are you okay?” Koyama asked politely, being the mama that he always was. “If you’re not feeling well, you should go home, it might be summer flu or something!”

Massu waved him off as politely as he could, meaning he just replied, “Ah, no, it’s fine.” to everything Koyama said.

Well, that was really the only way to shut him up.

“Hey, hey, Massu!” Massu heard from behind. “Let’s go get yakiniku!”

Massu turned around to see Tegoshi beaming. “Eh?” Massu asked, “What brought this on?”

Tegoshi laughed, and dug something out from his pocket. “I was hoping you would ask that!” He pulled out a pink piece of paper and Massu’s heart sank. Tegoshi showed Massu the small handwriting written in light blue sparkly ink, which read, “…heard Ai Ai Gasa in a yakiniku restaurant, and decided to confess to the guy I liked…” although he couldn’t read anything before it or after it because Tegoshi was covering it with his fingers. If it was deliberate or not, Massu couldn’t tell.

Soon enough, those fingers were pulling off his shirt and, no, not touching Massu’s chest, but digging through Massu’s bag for the shirt that Massu was supposed to change back into. When he found the top, he practically shoved it over Massu’s head, putting it on him as quickly as possible and pulling him out of the room, and the jimusho.

“Massu, eat! Eat!” Tegoshi whined. “You’re always hungry!”

Massu looked away from the stars through the window and made eye contact with Tegoshi, which he almost immediately broke. “Sorry.” he mumbled, taking a piece of meat into his mouth. “Itadakimasu.” he said through his full mouth.

“That’s a bit late.” Tegoshi laughed. When Massu didn’t immediately chuckle back, he looked at Massu a bit angry. “What’s wrong with you?” he said loudly, turning around to apologize to the customers that had been interrupted in the middle of their conversations. “What’s wrong with you?” he said a bit quieter after he’d turned back to face Massu.

“…Nothing. It’s… It’s nothing. It’s stupid.” Massu said, looking down at the intricate wood patterns of the table.

“Massu.” Tegoshi said firmly. “You’re not stupid. Nothing that you say could be stupid, not in my eyes.”

“But, it’s just…” Massu began, “I’m… I’m… In love with yakiniku*!” he said suddenly, slapping himself on the inside.

“Eh?” Tegoshi laughed. “Well, I guess it is pretty good, huh?”

Massu sighed. “Yeah, it is.” he said, stuffing more meat into his mouth.

Haha, I’m ending it here! This was actually pretty fun to write. XD

*What Massu mean to say was “I’m jealous.” It’s a play on words in Japanese. “I’m jealous” in Japanese is said, “Boku wa yakimochi.” “I’m in love with yakiniku” is said “Boku wa yakiniku wo koto ga suki.”.

…I think. I’m still learning this stuff.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISA! AND IF YOU ASK FOR MORE I WILL GIVE YOU A PART 2. I PROMISE.

one-shot, p:tegomassu
