And now, a dramatic reading of an excerpt from GameStop's return policy:
Unopened new merchandise may be returned for a refund or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.
And now, I present to you reality:
GameStop has ALREADY OPENED the game you just bought because they gutted the manual and cartridge out and placed it in a CD sleeve... and then when you go to pick up the game, they reassemble the box in front of you... and don't provide any mechanism to make it appear as if it was ever unopened.

Not that I want to return my game or anything. I have yet to play it, actually.
But this needs documented so that, when GameStop makes its ultimate bid to destroy Gabe Newell and his Steam, thereby controlling the ENTIRE world of videogamedom, we can expose them as the deformed, mutant hellbeasts that they truly are.
