The new revolution

Positive psychology examines behavior from the perspective of human strength, rather than human deficits. Hope, efficacy, courage, happiness, optimal experience, well-being, alturism, gratitude, forgiveness, love, optimism. It is not just for "abnormal" people but also "normal" people as well. It can be applied to anything. It has infinite potential for all areas of psychology.

My school is where feminism in psyc erupted. History repeats, as they say.

The "new" GPA:

Goals
Pathways
Agency

Basically, you have a goal. Say, getting an A on an exam. But, you have a roadblock that prevents you from obtaining that goal. Say, lack of motivation or a really busy schedule. If you have LOW agency, you won't see many PATHWAYS to getting around that roadblock. However, if you have HIGH agency, you will see many pathways to getting around the roadblock.

This is so freaking cool. I'm in a hotbed of positive psyc and I want to apply it to everything, no matter what I end up doing. I am so passionate about so many things, I have no idea what I'm going to do. I feel like I'm being pulled in a million directions at once, but that's okay.

I'm such a nerd. :D
