i think perhaps my purpose in life is as follows: to champion the cause of a constitutional ammendment limiting senate and house terms to 2. let us now begin a delightful discussion outlining the benefits and repercussions of this ammendment.
1) a lessening of the leverage the party holds over an elected official
2) opening up the field to more parties
3) a lowering of the overall age of elected officials since it will no longer be considered a "career"
4) a government more able to evolve at the speed of technology (a sorely needed improvement to say the least)
5) a lessening of the leverage exerted by PACs and Businesses
6) a government more concerned and in tune with the workforce (if 3 above holds)
7) more idealistic governing
8) fewer "pet projects"
