Scottish novelist and historical writer Eric Linklater (1899 - 1974), at home on the coast of north-east Scotland, near his native Orkney. Linklater's work includes 'The Wind on the Moon', which won the Carnegie Medal in 1944, and 'Juan in America' (1931).
