[23] Backdated to a few days after fighting Hao

*Kotarou's wounds had healed for the most part, the demon half of him accelerating the process. The burns were covered by bandages, which Negi continued to treat against Kota's will, and the shattered bones had repaired themselves (they were still tender, but he didn't really care). The damage done mentally though had not lifted in the slightest.

*there's a knock at the door, though asuna doesn't wait for kotarou to answer before she opens it. she peers in, a bag slung over on her shoulder, a small smile on her face in order to make this visit somewhat cheerful from the start*

Yo, Kotarou-kun~...

*Other than his eyes dully glancing in her direction before flicking them back to the ceiling, he doesn't seem to acknowledge her presence much.*

*she slides into the room, creaking the door behind her, not closing it all the way. she walks over to the side of the bed, clutching the strap of her bag*

*He had caught the fragrance the moment she opened the bag so he didn't need to look. With one arm over his eyes, he limply waved the other towards a desk covered in comic books.*

... *she does so, and then pulls something else out of her bag--*

I brought you some ice cream, too! You want it now or later?

Later. *CUE LIGHTNING AND THUNDER*

*OH GOD THIS IS SERIOU- of course it is*

I'll go put it in the freezer then. *she goes to do just that, quickly returning not even a minute later*

*And he's exactly as she left him, his ear propped up to listen for her though.*

... Maybe ya should just come back later. Don't feel like company now.

*Of course the moment she leaves, he's going somewhere else.*

..... *she goes silent, just watching him for a moment*

Nah, I think I'll stay for a bit longer. *she takes a seat on the edge of the bed, crossing her legs*
