Things have been going fine. I've been posting some random stuff at EoFF and UD, and I also tried to post at FG but couldn't think of anything that would be worthwhile. I also had some nice chats with various people, and starseeker sent me some annoyingly catchy Japanese songs which I remembered days after I'd listened to them.
Surprisingly enough only six other people besides me showed up in our choir rehearsal, and we decided to go through Purcell's "Aeneas and Dido". Dido has some lovely solo parts, and the tenor bits look interesting as well. It'll be interesting to hear how well this will turn out once we get to rehearse it more thoroughly with more people.
After the rehearsal, I drove to a local bar Domi with Juha and Mika from our choir. We ordered drinks and played Trivial Pursuit for four hours until Juha finally became the winner. As usual, Juha began explaining all kinds of stuff as he got more and more drunk, and Mika had some funny anecdotes as well.
We eventually headed to another bar, Potero, where Juha sang karaoke. We talked there for a while, and then we headed out to Fontana, a night club, where Juha and Mika began playing Blackjack. I decided to join in, and I fared moderately well even though it was my first time playing the game. Mika ended up winning about 400 euros worth of cash, and he decided to spend some money on drinks. I only took one sip of Vodka Martini which tasted surprisingly good, but I left it at that.
At 4 AM we headed out of Fontana and went to eat at McDonalds. I ordered French fries whereas Juha and Mika took Big Macs. We spent some time talking there, and once again Juha began talking about all kinds of random stuff. As time went on, we left McDonalds and headed our own ways. Juha went to his home, and I drove Mika to his apartment, after which I headed home too.
A few days later I had a chat with Sephiroth1999AD, and he invited me to come over. I headed over to him, and we talked about all kinds of random things. He played some tracks from The Little Mermaid Broadway cast recording and showed me bits from Command & Conquer 3 which looked alright. He played a rather epic match with two AI allies against three AIs, and after a lengthy struggle he managed to beat the enemies. I only spent a couple of hours at his place, because I had to wake up early the next day.
The next days were quite busy as I had to help mom with some Easter event at the city square. I sang a couple of songs to a bunch of kids, and I also drove mom and dad back home. I was kind of disappointed that there were very few Jesus-oriented films on TV this Easter, because I was looking forward to watching some of the older films which I haven't seen yet. We also went to our summer cottage and took our golden retriever Sulo with us. Sulo really enjoyed running around even though he's old, and he had a great time overall.
I decided to
join Facebook after a few people had been pestering me about it. I instantly had troubles with uploading pics, but I hope this is only temporary. I have to say that it's interesting how you can find all kinds of people in there, many of whom are your old class mates. We'll see what happens. xD
Yours,
Mikko
