I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve. Mine was alright, as I sent messages to my friends' cell phones, chatted with a bunch of people from both Eyes on Final Fantasy and Ultimate Disney forums, had some funny arguments, went to my aunt and uncle's place and listened to a neat online radio station with some nice soundtrack selections. I never knew I'd end up like I did, but I found myself defending Beauty and the Beast out of all Disney films for some odd reason in UD forums. The debate is still ongoing as I'm waiting for the responses of my opponent, so it should be interesting to see what the consensus will end up being. =P
I've also spent some time working out some details about the coming RP at tGA, because I'll be needing some info if I'm going to make the plot work. After all, it seems I need to post the first post of the RP, and to do that I need to be aware of certain geographical matters: luckily Lynx posted me a preview of the world map he's working on, so I could use that as a reference point. Now that I've written some information down, I've realized how this setting really gives a lot of great opportunities for both Council (the admins of the forums) and regular players alike. I mean, I could instantly think of at least twelve different plots just by looking at the map. However, it's better to just stick with one plot at first and then slowly introduce others and let other players introduce their plots as well so that everyone gets an enjoyable experience. Once Lynx and I manage to work out the map and post it, I can post the first post of the RP thread, and then it's time to start posting the invitation threads at various forums. We'll see how things go. xD
I've been reading The Children of Húrin, and so far it's been interesting. Gotta love tragedies. The Finnish translation is quite well done too, but oddly enough there are some typos which I didn't spot in The Silmarillion or in other translated books. Oh well. I love the illustrations by Alan Lee, because they look gorgeous. Just look at stuff such as Húrin sitting atop the throne in Morgoth's fortress and admire the level of detail and emotion. Great stuff. =)
