Pleasantly surprised to say that I enjoyed the new Star Trek film. :) I really had no intention on going to see it but the previews piqued my interest. I ♥ Karl Urban as McCoy. Zachary Quinto rawks as Spock. For most of the movie I found myself playing spot the person. I kept finding people from other shows. :)
One thing that made me chuckle was when we first saw the red matter, the big ball of it...I whispered to my sister "oooo, the Rambaldi device!" Talk about fandoms colliding. :) I also chuckled when I saw Paul McGillion on the screen. Now that they have effectively rewritten history they have a clean slate and can do just about anything with the franchise.
