(no subject)
argh back to school on tuesday but the last part of the summer hols have been pretty good. V festival was fantastic! Who i saw:
Saturday
Idlewild - really goood, heard a fair few of their songs but they are soo much better live. They seemed genuinely happy to be there playing music
Tony Christie - uberly cheesie didnt actually know any of his song except for the beatles meddley he did and amarillo which were fun to sing along too.
Joss Stone - it has to be said she really annoys me at times but she can really sing. her songs were nice in the sunshine.
Athlete - tbh i didnt really enjoy them, a tad on the depressing side
Franz ferdinand - brilliant. had a jig to them and was quite near the front (was for mostof tothers). People say they are a bit crap n cheesy but i was impressed, tis just nice happy music to dance to.
Scissor sisters - Nothing uberly brilliant but nice to boogie too. Ana Matronic had a v pretty dress on

goldie lookin chain - made me laugh
magic numbers - they were on a small stage and couldn't get close because there were soo many people but they sounded really good. Can't wait to see em in october.
the zutons - delightful! if the weather hadnt been so bloody hot i would have pushed to the front to have a jig but instead i sat on the grass and listened
Polyphonic Spree - described as psychedelic missionaries in the programme. I htink everyone shoudl see them live at some point, they are just so happy and crazy tis brill. Sonic Youth Hadn't really heard any of their music and i wanted a good spot for robert plant. Spontinaity paid off because they were really good and I found a new band to listen to. Experimental rock is always interesting.
Robert Plant and the strange sensation my favourite act over the weekend. He was bloody amazing. PLayed songs off mighty rearranger and even played a few led zep songs (2nd song n black dog). He was so good came back and did an encore of a whole lotta of love. Oasis - good at what they do. Still they they are a pair of arrogant arseholes tho.
This weeks been alright. Went to Ed's bbq which was uber fun and i got to see friendies who i hadnt seen for a while.
Seen Ben too. Never thought i would i feel this way about anyone, hes like a best friend and i love him to pieces. Not sure what i would do without him. He's soo good o me. I know things didnt get off to the best start (im suprised he didnt get bored n dump me) becuase i had so much going on in my head withone thing and another but hes been so patient and caring. Couldn't ask for anything more <3
Bought the new Scarling. album tis brilliant! Particularly loving we are the music makers and pretend world. tis all for now xxxxxxxx
