Weekend

Err, I think this is the most boring and relaxing weekend ever!

I do not have anything to do whatsoever. God, this is great.

Yesterday: Breakfast, nap, lunch, read book/play tetris attack, read a bit, walked around, went to a grocery store to buy water (water?), dinner, went running/jogging/walking and discovered a new route that does not involve dead end streets, and watched a movie with the kids.

TA's and instructors got the weekend off. I had been looking forward to a weekend without noisy kids, but I somehow miss them. Most of the instructors and TA's are over 21. So... Well, they went to a beach in Malibu in the afternoon, and to some bar in the evening. All the RA's had to be with the kids. There were only 2 TA's last night, Pin-Shane and me. I think we're the only under 20 TA's. She's doing Physics at Carleton College.

We watched 'Mighty Ducks'. I'd never seen it before, but supposedly it's not a really good movie. A kid movie, I guess. Basically, a bunch of kids playing hockey in a team that's sponsored by a guy called Ducksworth. There was a kissing scene between the coach and one of the kids's mom, and one of the RA's started screaming 'What are they doing???' and started quacking (ehm... the team --The Ducks-- ..quacks a lot)

Yeah, and a lot of quacking in other scenes as well. I mean, the CTY kids quacking when watching the movie.

It was really cute. And the movie wasn't so bad (because of the kids).

I borrowed some math puzzle books from the library.

Nothing much today. Breakfast, walked for 30 minutes to the church, mass for 1 hour, walked 30 minutes back, played tetris attack for 30 minutes, lunch, read a book.

I went to church with Ray, who is our health assistant. He's from the Philippines. He works at Brent! (Brent is another international school in Manila besides my school) There is also an instructor who's from the Philippines. Also works at Brent.

THere were a total of 34 kids and 9 staff members infected with the unknown disease. Amazingly, I'm still okay and alive. We're still using paper plates. The cafetaria adds a sink in front of the building so everybody can wash their hands before coming in. In addition to that, they also squirt that antibacterial hand wash thing. Eh..
