Why Cheney is being a twit
Last nite I figured out why Dick Cheney is being such a twit. As we all know, he really dislikes all Democrats, especially Obama, and really wants them to fail. Lately he's been commenting about how if Obama is releasing formerly Secret memoes about torture, he should release ALL documents, especially the ones that are still secret, to show just what information the CIA got as a result of those torture episodes.
This last step has gotten many confused. The big question is, Why is Cheney now advocating an open government? This is what I have figured out.
He isn't.
Cheney knows what's in those secret memoes. Likely, there's information in there that even now should not be released. Cheney knows that it should not be released. So he's advocating releasing it JUST TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE Obama is trying to hide something.
Cheney isn't stupid. He may be a pigheaded, stubborn, cruel, and heartless old style republican tool, but he's not stupid. By manipulating the media to make it look as if Obama is hiding something, he urges the media come to the conclusion that Obama is "weak" and it strengthens his position (and may even keep him from ultimately going to jail for advocating the use of torture).
