Last night I finally made a belt for my yellow wool dress. I didn't make it last time I wore it because of two things. Time was an issue and I was wearing the paletot over it anyway. But on Saturday, the dress'll be on its own at the reenactment and therefore, belt! It's a rather cute belt. I wanted to look at the CDV again, but couldn't find Who Wore What? so just went from memory. It'll be fine :)
Tomorrow the dress is going to the dry cleaner. Yes, I've only worn it once but there's mud to the knees. I was just going to take the skirt, but because of the way I threw it in my closet the bodice is somewhat sad looking, so I'm taking that too. I'll just take the collar and undersleeves off :)
Now, no choice but to grade papers. The quarter ends tomorrow! One thing I hate about teaching is how time is so strictly measured. You're constantly preparing for a thousand little milestones. It makes time move too quickly...
