Tis been interesting... that it has...
As of this morning, Hydy was better enough that it didn't make me want to cry just witnessing how much pain she was in... Could very well be the first time it hasn't made me sad to look at her in weeks... which sounds horrible I know, but it's true, she was in that much horrible pain. It was bloody heartbreaking...
Of course this doesn't mean she won't be back to it tomorrow, but at least this morning was pretty decent...
The new laptop has been a thing of beauty... I really need to gather some of the missing and neccessary software that I haven't had the hardware to play until now. Hopefully I'll start being able to manage that this weekend.
Other then that it's been mostly uneventful... this week at work has been particularly horrible, despite the short week. We get to make new characters at gaming tonight, cuz most of us died last week. I played a lot of WoW and watched quite a bit of the second season of 24 with Hydy while trying to distract myself from the stress that comes with watching my wife be unable to move or breathe...
I've been reading through the archives of
Something Positive this week, and I highly recommend everyone check it out, it's a beautifully irrevrent online comic.
I've also mostly at this point figured out how to avoid the mild panic / suffocation feeling I was getting from wearing the sleep machine. So sleeping is mostly better... now if I could just get to bed on time... lol
And for those of you who want to know what the latin phrase in my subject line means...
In the good old days, children like you were left to perish on windswept crags.
