of Summer Classes and Espionage
I've started reading The Bourne Identity. Yes, the spy/action novel that spawned the hit movie thing. It's not too bad, although I'm kind of disgruntled at it.
For a start, it's the same material that the movie was based on, and my dad once rented the movie so I've seen it. There are minor differences, but the only real difference so far is that it takes 200 pages to deal with everything that happens in the first twenty minutes of film, so it's just a SLOWER version of an action film. Also, it was written by a man. It's not a good thing when I can tell that from reading it. (I checked the author's name after thinking of this. Yep, it's Robert). It's not a terrible book by any means, but I'm not terribly impressed.
In other news, I've got a little over a week before my new classes start. Hooray for summer school. :-) I'm already a few chapters ahead of where we'll be starting, so I don't need to worry about falling behind very quickly. Now it's just a wait for the first day of class to begin.
I'm also in the middle of organizing things for the big garage sale. I've got a lot of stuff, and only so much time to organize in. I'm also not entirely certain how much I want to sell at a Garage Sale, and how much I want to keep. I do know that I want to sell most of it, however.
As for the job search, I'm pretty desperate. I need a job fairly soon, yet I'm EXTREMELY reluctant to go to the large corporations. I want a job ON CAMPUS, and I want to exaust my opportunities there before I go anywhere else. However, I can't apply for a job there until the school opens again in a little over a week, so I can't get a job right now. However, I
do need one soon, and I'm already anxious over it. I've got enough money saved so I could last a few months, but then I'd be in trouble. So, a job is a high priority for me now.
And in still other news, I'm currently enjoying my new music. The Best of Queen and Twisted Sister. :-)
