Well, I've just attended a Graduation. Being a Junior (as of next quarter) I have a ways yet to go before my own, so this is a little peak down the road. I have to say that, when compared to an SPSCC Graduation (which I went to last year), I much prefer the Evergreen Style. The dance with the pink hippo was a nice touch (don't ask). However I'm still not too sure what the deal with person with the Crucifix in the back row was about. I'm pretty sure that person was doing that of their own violation, but Iunno what the deal with the Flying Monkey outfit with the splayed metal armor was about.
I also thought it was a nice touch that when the guest speaker (Christine Gregoire) started her speech about how proud she was to see the students out protesting, about half of the graduates started pulling out flyers and started waiving them at her, with slogans against her policies concerning children and welfare... hmmmm...
I was kind of disgruntled however, when it started to Rain. This is Olympia, and we call it Washington for a reason, yet for some reason everyone starts pulling out Umbrellas. I mean, COME ON! If you don't like being wet, get yourself a decent CLOAK! Yeesh.
My only major problem with this graduation was that I only knew one person there. We had the largest graduating class in the history of the college, and I'm there to wave at a single person. It tooks ages for her to even get up there, I waved, and she was gone. X_X
Now I'm in the Computer Lab, typing this up. I'm leaving a lot of stuff out, but that's OK. If you really want to find out about this sort of thing, show up NEXT year.
