"The Machinist" does give a good feel for what the personal horror of an afflicted person might experience, because of it's 1st person perspective. We were just sitting here talking about good Malkavian prototypes.

I found the sight of Christian Bale most horrifying. I know he is a bit of a method actor, but good god, the things he did to himself for that movie boogles my mind. But it goes to show that the mind does things to you that your average person cannot comprehend.

I have played a few Malk NPCs in the past and even had one as a PC for a very short stint and they were no where close to 'the Machinist's darkness.

However I do miss playing Fritz the Malk Anarch who liked to make animals into pancakes and masterbate in front of people.

Yeah, the sight of him at, what 90 pounds, that was very disturbing. But given the reasoning, it was pretty awesome. I'm going to have to watch it again.

Andrew S. lent it to me. I have to remeber to give it back when next I see him. Christian Bale stretching in front of the mirror in the first ten minutes of the movie made me want to look away.

After watching the movie, 'the Kazu' and I sat there and I said "this movie should be manditory for the Malk players in our game".

For proper 'disturbance' rent the Japanese movie 'Blood and Bones'. While it may not give you any insight to a person's derangement, it will show you what abuse does to people in that same horrifying way that the movie 'The Mists' by Steven King is not about the monsters outside, but the monsters inside the store. How do people react to certain stimuli. You'll HATE the main character of 'Blood and Bones' with in the first 5 minutes and wish him dead thru the whole damn movie.

I loved "Thank You For Smoking" for the exact same reasons... I love a witty sarcastic film with a creative twist!

Yep yep...

Besides; Sam Elliot as the Malbouro Man? Can you find a better actor? No...no you can't! I laughed hard at the sight of him.

The scene where the kid does hostile negotiations with his mother was awesome. I'm still trying to place that child actor or what other movie I have seen him in.
