upcoming: incoming!: birthday
So...my birthday is coming up in one week & one day. so naturally i am dreaming up all the wonderful gifts that everyone (over estimation) will be showering me with. HA! ok, so im just being wishful and hoping i might get one or two of these things. my birthdays usually end up being a big dissapointment with everyone forgetting or not being able to do anything, w/ no one remembering to make/get a cake & no flowers or anything for the birthday girl, and then me feeling like an ass for getting my hopes up only to have them totally smashed to pieces. sorry to sound negative, but im just being realistic. as my bday falls on a wednesday this year i am not too hopeful that anything super spectacular will happen. i have redquested off from work for a few days. and the black crowes are playing the weekend before my birthday here in chattanooga @ riverbend so if i can afford that it might be cool..
i have however, always dreamed of having a surprise party thrown in my honor so if anyone wants to do that..it'd be pretty cool.
last year was actually really awesome. i went hiking in the woods and saw a huge, gorgeous waterfall, followed by strawberry milkshakes (with a cute guy!), my cousin made a 'from scratch meal' for dinner (including homemade alfredo sauce that was the best ive ever had! i still don't even know how he did it. cream of mushroom soup was involved.), i had a chocolate cake w/ chocolate icing w/ my name on it!, i got a brand new sketchbook & TWO bouquets of flowers!! it was lovely.
but im still going to work up a wish list...
