Wooops...

Yeah, I meant to do another update before now. There's alot of things that have been going well. I ended up making A's on my 3rd round of exams (thank you Jebus for grade curves), I've made some progress with my feelings and come to understand that I was mildly depressed - and I'm getting help, and things haven't been going AWFUL at work. All of which I'd like to write about in more depth.

But I won't write about all that right now, becuase I'm off to Charlotte to do my first SERIOUS race of the season. CC is competing in it, too, and I'm really excited for both of us. It's a duathlon with a 5K run, 15 mile bike, and another 5K run. Hopefully the weather will hold off, there won't be thunderstorms, and CC and I will TOTALLY KICK A**.

After my recent bout with illness, I had some great workouts this week - two short runs, and a short bike ride on the trainer. It was that kind of hurt that feels fantastic and makes you feel like "hey, I can do this race!"

Also, I invested in some CW-X tights. I say "invested", because they are not cheap. But holy crap - they feel fantastic. As soon as you put your foot down, the fabric is pulling your leg back up again. I've only done short runs in them, but I'm a big fan of the elasticity. I can only hope that correlates into fatigue-minimizing-amazingness in longer runs. I also kinda feel like Black Spiderman because they have really cool spidey-like patterns. So, I, um, took photos.

Whatever. You know y'all do.

Unfortunately, Shigicam didn't do a good job of capturing the
Spidey-likeness of my tights.

I think they make my backside look FIERCE. Who cares that you run 12:00 miles
when your rear looks this FIERCE? NOT I. Which explains why I look so happy in
the first photo.

Here's my favourite part of the short course. I've just powered up ENORMOUS HILL,
and everything is level or downhill after this. And when you get to the top, just
as the sun is setting, it looks BEAUTIFUL. I strapped Shigicam to my new Camelbak
so that I could take this photo. Woo hoo.

Ok, I'm out. I'll have another update this weekend. *wish me luck, plz*

racing, it's been a while updates, phupdate, shigicam
