Burying stuff in the Yard
Today I found a treasure so neat I just had to do what everyone does when they come into posession of something valuable: bury it. While this may seem foolish to some people, were I able to converse with them in a way they would understand, I would remind them of the coin collection from grandfather and the pieces of jewelry from their grandmothers and elder aunts they have buried in a jewelry box or the old hope chest somewhere in the basement or attic of their homes where said objects sit collecting dust while being more out of sight then anything I have ever buried.
Of course, I will not begrudge anyone the need to keep precious things safe and secure. I suppose each of us has our own way of safeguarding things. I myself am quite fortunate: everything, or rather, everyone that is precious to me is right here, in this dormitory... or buried out in the back yard for easy access.
