I have a new band of the moment - A Perfect Circle. I'm not quite sure why, out of the blue, they've become my leaning post for the past few days. Their sound is hypnotising, whereas Tool's music is mesmerising.
Almost the same thing. Though Tool and A Perfect Circle are two completely different, the Maynard element has gotten me in an upbeat mood.
When I bought eMotive and listened to track 10 ("Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of War Drums"), I never really paid attention to it until I recognized a part of the song from somewhere...
I followed the hunch and downloaded the teaser trailer to the Fantastic Four movie. Wicked. It was indeed where I'd heard it before.
So yeah, eMotive and Thirteenth Step are both now in my posession, along with Mer de Noms. All three have different moods, although eMotive is mostly re-arrangments (covers, for lack of a better word).
The first day was today, and I have learned one thing; a Game Boy Advance would have made the day a little easier. I shit you not.
Three calls from stores with problems - I helped solve them, to my surprise. lol
Four calls from my co-workers, asking me how the day had been going so far. (For those keeping score, there are only about four people who should give a rat's ass - and they all called.)
So since 4:30 when I left the office, I've been checking my phone repeatedly (thank you, Mitch) to make sure I haven't missed a call.
The rain has let up in Phoenix desert and the race is about to begin. Boogity, boogity, boogity, boys and girls...
