Aside from being elated from getting off work at 8:00 last night, I had reason to be pumped. The Bud Shootout was an hour away, and I was to spend it with friends new to NASCAR, as well as two family members who help make watching it a blast.

The race was ok, and had a good result, but had a lack of anything spectacular. No wrecks, but some good close racing...
The Daytona 500 front row is set for next Sunday with Dale Jarrett and Jimmie Johnson to start up front for the "Great American Race". The Duel Qualifying races (Dual Duels?) on Thursday are gonna be great, with 50 cars vying for the 43 positions available... can you say "desperate"?
