some updates
a. indie mart was ok, fun but could have been much better. I was placed between the bathroom and the sound stage where annoying british bands sang the same words over and over to make a jaunty tune. I couldn't hear myself think. Out of 42 sock monsters, i sold 5 and one painting. Kelly apparently got smashed and i couldn't help but think that if i was outside instead of by the bar that I would have sold a lot more. Oh well, cest la vivre.
b. went to the bank last night, i love how jim and i have this friendship and how he says things like; "I knew you would be coming in tonight, i was looking forward to it like a fresh wind." I got to meet two resident artists from villa montalvo, they were around my age. One was a writer with an air of snobbishness to his voice but funny as hell and the other was this latino musician who combined classical music with hip hop and was writing symphonies. We talked at length about art, music, math, the watchmen and batman. I gave the writer one of my sock monsters, he bought me a drink. The musician said he wanted to make a music video with them.
c. i bought the box dvd set of "spaced."
d. i think i need to push myself more towards excellence.
