sleeping in
Butter slept until 7:30 this morning on the bed. It was obvious last night that she didn't want to be in her crate. She didn't whine or anything, but she just laid there with her eyes open, looking morose. I took her out and put her on the bed and she fell sleep instantly, and stayed until 7:30 (even after T got up at 6 and was puttering around the house). Wahoo! I think it helped that she had puppy class last night, as it wears her out pretty thoroughly.
I did a voiceover job yesterday that paid more than I expected, which, of course, had me worried all day that they didn't like what I did and were regretting hiring me. Now, I legitimately wasn't thrilled with the particular takes that they chose, but still, had they paid me less, I probably wouldn't have obsessed as much about it. I need to get better about believing that I'm worth the going rate. I tend to ask for less than what I deserve because then I figure people will be less upset if they don't like me. Not a good mindset, especially since I tend to be that way about everything in life.
I did discover a wonderful new dog treat last night -- banana chips! A woman in the class (who's also a breeder) uses them as training treats, and Butter kept nosing over to her to try to get one. She gave me a few and Butter was very happy. I'll have to pick some up today -- all natural (provided I get the ones that don't have tons of sugar and salt added) and slightly less expensive than many treats.
