So I've been puttering away on the old AHoS Shorts for about a month now, but never with much of focus. I realise that this isn't your fault, but the phrase "The Ongoing Parable of the Weapon" is evocative enough that it has sunk into my brain like a lead weight into sponge, and I can feel my headmeats trying to do things with it.

Particularly unsound as you're already using it, and it'd be - you know - wrong.

Oddly enough, I had the same problem myself. I was bored at work one night several months ago, and the phrase "the weapon" popped into my head and I instantly had a whole story idea come sweeping in right behind it. It was sort of like getting hit by a truck driven by my muse.

I'm kind of curious what kind of direction you would go from the title, and how it compared with my own take on the idea.
